Out of interest - why? I would have purely based on the opinion that his goal record in a struggling championship teams seem a lot better than playing for a Scottish superpower where most of your games are against sides that would probably struggle in league 1

Same reason for me too. Can’t say I’ve watched a whole load of Blackburn or Celtic games to be honest so it’s basically just a toss of the coin. Championship is slightly more respectable and from the little I’ve seen, Armstrong looks to be an awkward little bugger with loads of pace and a willingness to shoot on sight. You always need a player like that in the squad.

Villa changed their formation to fit Ings and Watkins and to respect Chelsea it seems

I imagine it would work better in other games with a back 4? But what is the situation with Bailey ? One of the mooted Grealish replacements, 30m - doesn’t get a a game. I assume Buendia had to quarantine after coming back from South America as well as Martinez ?

The goalkeeper rolled one to his feet a yard out and then let one thru his legs. Maybe all this messiah talk actually has something in it because nobody should be getting goals as easy as those in the EPL.

The Premier League seems to have reverted to expectations this weekend. Brentford, Watford, Norwich and Newcastle all losing and the league topped by City and Utd. I think Leeds will get whipped by Liverpool this evening too.

I thought that Man Utd seemed to have recaptured their swagger on MofD last night. I appreciate that they were only playing Newcastle but the old ruthlessness had returned. I still think they will be crowned champions in May although I preferred them when they were rubbush.

I tend to agree. Newcastle played with 11 defenders this week rather than the 10 that they played against us. The talent at ManU this season is quite ridiculous. It’s a teenage video game squad. I don’t have any faith in Ole as a manager but who needs faith when you have those players.

The main difference isn’t (and won’t be) Ronaldo. It’s that Pogba suddenly feels like playing.

Contract year, needs to do well so he gets a big move next summer.

The guy is unbelievable when he wants to be and the fact that he can go from zero to sixty so easily in PL level games shows just how good he actually is

Crikey. Just been on twitter. Villa fans starting to turn on Ings already! I suspected it would happen but not after 4 games!!

Oñe or two league 1 teams would struggle in any.league if they can't score goals. It is nearly 360 minutes since and that may have been an og!!!

Don't know if you're a betting man Ian, but you can back Utd at 8/1 if you fancy them.

I don't think they'll win it myself, but that's a tempting price for anyone who thinks they have a chance.
