If Kane wants England to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup he will stay put.

Unsure how that would work, I imagine playing CL and being coached by Guardiola could only improve him.

Plus he has lost every final he has entered, being part of a side that wins the odd final might just give him an edge should England manage to make another.

That said I think Man City would be better served going after Haaland.

He has license to do what he wants at Tottenham Hotspur. Nuno Espírito Santo is a very good manager. He won't have the same license at Manchester City and will become a more structured striker. England don't play like Man City. He needs to get in the gym to get stronger and faster.

He will play less if he is at Man City and be less knackered. Sterling didn't seem to have a bad tournament!

That last sentence is a lot easier said than done when you need to separately maintain fitness to play regularly. The attempt to increase strength and speed is likely to only have marginal returns for the effort expended

If building speed was really a viable option for Kane I would have expected him to have done that. Because it is the main thing holding him back from being a true world beater

Less match sharp and less mileage in the legs if he moves (bad not good). Sterling isn’t a centre forward and is very fast already.

It is possible. The off season is the main time to target strength and speed returns.

Leicester's Wesley Fofana was on the end of a bad tackle in their pre-season game tonight.

Not confirmed but a possible broken leg.

Looks like a negative test will be permitted at grounds like some of us predicted.

Not checking everybody either but random checks.

To start with. Government still planning to introduce scheme at end of September requiring a double vaccination to enter stadiums.

Still don't think it will happen personally but we'll see.

The random spot checks are interesting too. I'm guessing clubs are doubting the logistics of checking 30k+ people individually.
