Unlucky for Fulham - correct VAR decision by the laws but does feel so wrong that that's stopping a goal but wouldn't be a penalty if it was the other way round

Or not, thanks to Lemina's arm. :)

Such a crazy rule - Lemina couldn’t get out of the way, ball kicked straight at him, he didn’t control it, just bounced ...... but ..... they gave a penalty against Bertie when the ball was kicked at him .... of course, it didn’t apply to the handball in the Villa game ..... I give up .....
Good for Saints though .....

The only way that could have been avoided would be if his arm was in an unnatural position! What the hell are players supposed to do? The game is ruined by this sort of stupid crap. A review of this season completely undermines the sport.

Solution seems to be attackers have arms in unnatural position while defenders keep them in natural positions

Absolutely. It's an awful, awful rule. (I'm watching the WBA game, but have just checked out the "goal".)

What is crazy though is that there are some people - including on here - who want that rule expanded!! They want it to apply to all players, not just to attackers immediately prior to a goal.

Madness.

And tot look ****. Be typical if Fulham climb out of relegation thanks to reed and Lemina while we slip down the table.
