... and why the need to have the circus of the referee checking the monitor. I just don’t see the need for the that. It doesn’t matter at that point. A referee is a referee and if two of them sat in a studio watching a replay quickly see an obvious error, just tell the on field referee and get on with the game.

I don’t get the bollox of the decision having to be made by the on field referee. If the chaos in the studio aren’t sure (quickly, 10 seconds), move on and stick with original decision.

It really isn’t difficult. I was a supporter of bringing VAR in but a season and a half later, I still don’t like what they’re doing with it.

fecking circus
Absofuckingright. Really spot on FATs. Makes so much sense. How can we see the absolute logic but the officials governing this, seem to have totally lost focus.

I’ve said before, I really wanted Var but it’s become an absolute mess & personally I’d be very happy to ditch & go back to letting the Ref, ref. Even, if it means going back to refereeing old school “bias” (sorry, inconsistencies). Better than the crap we have now. Obviously just my opinion.

Do you remember when it was suggested that VAR would end controversy and stop long-winded arguments about the rights and wrongs of refs' decisions. And some of us (me, me, me) pointed out that all it would do was to pass close decisions to another human being who wasn't even on the pitch. And sometimes slow-mo does not make things clearer and the game gets held up.

Have to say that VAR has validity in some cases and does help the ref who can't see everything.

Fulham could live go regret their missed chances in the first half. They should have been out of sight, now they're losing.

As weak as Brighton are, there shouldn't be anything in that match to worry them.

The only reason why the bottom three aren't already down is because Brighton can't turn their draws into wins.
