See, I don't rate or like Pards, but I wish him no harm. He's the sort of character who's good to hang around at clubs like Palace, keeps them at a certain level. We jettisoned him as soon as it suited us, but his time here was productive. If he loses the palace job, he'll not get another prem club.
Bet there's some Spurs fans who aren't happy this week. Players rested against Monaco with todays game in mind and ended up losing both
Chances of Pardew being sacked, new replacement being in and Palace having that sudden upturn in form that often comes with new manager by next weekend?
I'd be surprised if Pardew is still there for our match. While it's not all his fault, surrendering an average of three goals per match over six while tallying zero points is generally enough to earn one's departure.
In all seriousness if I were CPFC, I'd be going to get Big Sam pronto. He'd tighten them up and he'd love having Benteke to work with. They could be a real horrible side to face with that pitch, the fans being as vocal as they are and right on top of the sidelines, and Big Sam at the helm.
It those results came in one season, they'd have four matches remaining and would need to win out in most years to have any hope of survival.
