Not that it changes Bmouth's desperate need to win tonight, but Villa winning might not be a bad result for them. They might need help from Villa on the last day vs West Ham - help which they'd never get if Villa are already down.

Indeed.

To be honest, regardless of what Bmouth do today (even a win), if they lose to us they will almost certainly be relegated there and then (if not already). It's unlikely that they would walk off having lost to us, still with a chance of staying up.

But if they avoid defeat here, they cannot be relegated before they play us. Although they could be six points behind West Ham, and a weaker GD of something in the region of 20 (ie no 'R' next to their name, but quite clearly with no chance of staying up).
