Absolutely agree DTLW. He can't carry on going "I got a bit carried away and I apologise". He's just a crap Osvaldo.

I was never big on him at Saints, personally. I know a lot were but I could never truly warm to him. Maybe that's just me!

I remember finding out he'd been sacked on the morning I arrived back in the UK from holiday and when I told the old man we both looked at each other and just went "oh well, I wonder who will come in then?"

I'd like to think we would be serious about taking action against him if it was us, like we did with Osvaldo (which could have been brushed under the carpet). I don't think Mike Ashley will be sacking him in the morning though.

Newcastle United issue Alan Pardew with formal warning and fine him £100,000 of his wages.

Good for them. It was a serious offence...especially for a manager who is supposed to set an example. There had been earlier interaction with the same player and Pardew was shoved, but he put himself in the way. Newcastle were right not to wait for the FA hearing as everyone can see what happened. Interesting if he will appeal the boards actions...goes against most employment laws, even if morally right.

Pardew reacted badly, but I think there has, yet again, been a complete over reaction by everybody. Match of the Day have just spent the last 10 minutes talking about it, with not a word on Newcastle's terrific away win. He has head butted someone in anger, and was wrong to do so, but he has apologised, and Hull have accepted it. Pardew said he will take whatever punishment he gets. End of. Certainly, nobody should be taking lectures by Robbie Savage on such matters.
