All the optimism at Sunderland has disappeared quickly, question marks over some individuals. Could be vunerable next week.

Welbeck gets a bad rep for his goal tally last season, but he's been better than people say. People talk about him sometimes like he's the worst player in the league.

I agree he is better than what he is made out to be. But 1 goal for Man United with that many minutes, as an attacker is simply attrocious! Regardless of how well you help others out. I'm slightly befuddled mainly as I believe Chicharito and Rooney are streets ahead in class.

I think a lot of people, especially here, were very optimistic we could win that game anyways! 10 new signing is too many.

Kagawa, a happy Rooney, and a new central midfielder, and they'll be good. If I was the boss I might buy a new winger as well, but Valencia is popular there.

Indeed I think they are two top players short of City and Chelsea and possibly even Spurs if they keep Bale and Soldado fires, a CM and a winger (Depends how much faith they have in Zaha, I suppose) would resolve that as you say. Thought their team was short last year too and they were thoroughly average for the first half of the season but then Chelsea and City fell into turmoil and once United had a sniff of the title the Fergie-effect took over, they never looked back and romped on. With this squad and without Fergie I think it would take miracles from Moyes to get close to the title, but surely there will be additions.

Listening to 606 [old habits die hard] I hear them asking for all fans to phone in, but it has been wall-to-wall Arsenal. And when there has been a lull they are going over to the Liberty Stadium to see if Rooney has come on yet.

And ten is only the beginning; sounds like they still want to get two or three or four more in.

Woooo! Needed four goals from this game to get the goals total points in the prediction league.

Well in that case, that was very poor by Welbeck. Bony's made a lot of people happy with their fantasy league picks, I reckon.

Welbeck is starting the season well. Maybe this is the year he steps, and fulfills his potential! Good news for England, if not for lambert.

He was good today Welbeck. Made to eat my words! Though, I will still persist he was disapointing last year!!!

This season is make or break for him and I will be very happy if he does well. Theres a world cup, and I'm English, and with players in good form, it can only be good news!

2 yellows for Koscielny, should have been 2 yellows for Villa. Ref got conned.
