As discussed a couple of weeks or so, here is the thread for all general PL chat and 'other scores' in the league ahead of tomorrow's return.

Anyway, here's a promo for you to enjoy...

For those who don't have sky , pick tv , which is accessible on free view , is having a sky sports sampling day and is therefore showing soccer Saturday as well as the Swansea united game.

I had a little vision where we score the first goal of the season and Pompey concede early. Then someone can do the glorious screenshot of us in 1st all the way down to Pompey in 92nd. It could technically happen I suppose if Liverpool/Stoke draw, but probably not.

Be interesting to see if Stoke try and play better football this season, somewhat doubt it though.

If anyone is interested Man U vs Swansea is free on Pick TV (11 on freeview) Giggs should have scored twice already, but lacked composure of all things!

Or Sky2 (ch. 121) on Sky.

United's starting team is rather uninspiring, I have to say.

That Van Persie isn't bad. Think we should sign him? I'd offer at least 5m.

If it wasn't for Van Persie think they'd be pushing for top four rather than the title, still can't believe people were questioning his price a year ago. That said, they'd be hugely improved by getting Kagawa properly integrated into the side.

judging by the england game he doesn't look match ready

I could've said the same for almost all of Welbeck's performances last season! (jk, sort of)

I should think rooney is on the move, Moyes' back up comment would have pissed him right off. Maybe he's lost the hunger to play if he is being dismissed before a ball is kicked? Psycology is rife in football these days, it must hold the answer.

Kagawa, a happy Rooney, and a new central midfielder, and they'll be good. If I was the boss I might buy a new winger as well, but Valencia is popular there.

Welbeck gets a bad rep for his goal tally last season, but he's been better than people say. People talk about him sometimes like he's the worst player in the league.
