Fernandinho and Navas look like excellent signings. With Jovetic and Negredo on the bench to add the Aguero and Dzeko, this really is a mouth watering side.

Chelsea and City's first halfs have impressed me. I think it'll be them two who will be fighting for the title.

I think if Chelsea beat United next week it'll be a two-horse City v Chelsea race. If not, I think it'll show United are still well up for it, they don't have a lot of depth but they are still a title winning side.

We're going to have to strengthen the stadium foundations when we play them - Yaya Toure vs Big Vic could well register on the Richter scale...

Bit early to say that! United are generally slow starters.

I know I know, and I hate predicting early as much as the next person, but I genuinely believe if Man Utd don't show their quality early then Chelsea and City will just run away with it.

I probably am underestimating them a bit. But Chelsea's and especially Man City's squad is far better equipped. I don't know if the Utd players will be able to handle the pressure of the Champions tag as well as they did with Fergie. Time will tell I guess.

One gets the sense that all of Newcastle's defenders want to get sent off.

Not the most full-blooded blow, but no reason to swing his arm in that fashion.
