Current MP, apparently. Narrows it down to a handful of people and at least one of them is gay, so it's almost certainly not them.
Funny how Alex Salmond wasn't given the same courtesy, isn't it?
Wasn't he only named after he was charged?

Just had a quick browse around and this isn't entirely accurate. There's a good couple of dozen possibilities.

Robert Jenrick's name has been trending on Twitter most of today, and for a moment I thought he was the one arrested on a rape allegation

...then I remembered that he isn't an ex-minister. He should be, ****ing hell he should be, but he isn't
Another name is trending now and he's a proper ****bag. Probably shouldn't name him, but pig ignorant brexiteer probably gives it away.

Have to say, I don't think he should be named until or unless there is a case to proceed with charging. Removing the whip from Julian Lewis was disgraceful, but that doesn't excuse dragging a man's name through the mud until you know there is a case to answer. Have to separate the people (allegedly) involved and the general principle. There are double standards when you recall the Cliff Richard case (Police invited the press to cover the initial arrest) but in general I think anonymity until we know there is a credible case. You have to announce then so that potential witnesses can come forward (on both sides).

It follows then that removing the whip would have to wait, as that would rather give away the name.
