I suspect many of the "white protesters" are not really worried about the black people, more into trouble and mayhem. It's a shame they are doing this while the black people have a grievance.

Really? I think, for the record, you are hugely mistaken.

One of my neighbours, who for context thinks the country should be run by a partnership of Rees-Mogg and Farage, is of the opinion that there's no reason for white people to protest because it's not like George Floyd was white so they have no reason to complain

I believe my response may have taken eight years off of his life...

I was wondering if there was no virus and people were working ang the youth were in college etc.....would the white people be caring and causing mayhem.....and would Trump be checking to see what he can get away with parading his SS around the White House?

Oh well after being in lockdown for 3 months and now being told to stay indoors for another 10 weeks because I'm in the vulnerable group thanks a bunch to all those protesting all over the country who are gonna put all of us in jeopardy of more deaths to this horrific virus ,unbelievable that people can be so inconsiderate for the rest of us who have done our part in trying to help get rid of the virus. <doh>

I've been out today for a long walk and there's no doubt in my mind that we'll be back in lockdown pretty soon. The vast majority of people that I saw, gave every impression that the virus is no longer a problem.

There's very little evidence of social distancing or wearing of masks by people going into or coming out of shops. We met some friends who live at the end of our road and heard that 2 houses very near to them had parties yesterday. One of them had at least 40 people present.

It seems to be beyond the understanding of so many that we're completely wasting 3 months of collective self-denial and we're heading back there at some pace. It's depressing how ****ing stupid and selfish people can be.

Well said I couldn't agree more :emoticon-0137-clapp

The government hasn't sent out the right message and people are reverting to normal behaviour.
This is echoed in their decision to allow places of worship to open:

They aren't taking it seriously because they don't care about it. They just want to avoid accountability.

I wonder who sent the 500,000 white slaves to America and Australia to clear the prisons (of all ages too!). Was it the Prime Minister at the time ,if there was one!?
