As you SHOULD well know, he was referring to the fact that we survived as a stand alone nation for millennia. No reference was made to slavery, smog, imperialism etc. You brought these to the table, no one else. That says more about you than a million words ever could. You are doing all this to provoke a reaction. I will react with pity.
I see two things here. Firstly, you're fishing to continue this (despite saying you were leaving it) by deliberately turning whatever anyone says. And secondly, I see Col's back egging you on. You two really ought to set a date, because he's clearly sniffing around for something.

Agree he is on planet Corbyn. Watch out for WWIII Chaz! <laugh>
Sniff sniff. Watch out Ellers, Col's clearly less exclusive nowadays...

Oh - and I'm only a fan of Corbyn because he's the best thing to happen for the Conservatives in a long time...

You whine like a baby when ever you think someone has got "personal" with you and then come out with this!
Everyone knows that you're like a 4 year old to try to have a discussion with.

What a prat!

Leave it, Col. Only reason you would 'like' posts that are having a dig at me is to have a sly dig yourself. I understand you've been asked not to do that.

Unless there's any other reason you're getting yourself involved on the sly?

Oh - and I've not insulted you - so stop insulting me.

Bloody hell!
The vote has been and gone.
Armageddon never materialised.
The economy is doing much better than all the so called experts and many on here were predicting and they are now having to back-track.
I can't quite believe that there are people on here still churning out the same old garbage.
We voted to leave.
We will leave.

Get over yourselves and move on.

Britain is great and will prosper.

I seem to be hearing this a lot - 'All the gloom and doom predictions were wrong'.

We haven't left yet, have we?

I haven't been asked to stop doing anything Chaz.
You seem to think that everything is all about you.
I "like" posts if there's something in them that I agree with.
I'll continue to do so.
You said I was sniffing around other posters.

Get a life.

We were told that things would fall apart the day after the vote.
We were told there would need to be an emergency budget etc etc.

I think people fail to realise that things were on the slide before Brexit. The Dollar and the Euro were in a false position. Companies that were cutting staff or moving had that planned long before Brexit and some used it as an excuse. The World markets were slowing and smaller growths were predicted.
That's not me saying this, it's from a well-respected analyst who has forgotten more about this stuff than we will ever know. Talking on the business channel he basically said many people are using Brexit as an excuse.

Strongly disagree with your second paragraph. The aspect of democracy in the referendum is crucial.

You're right Parliament would not be so rash as to fail to implement what the 52% voted for.

The referendum was not legally binding on Parliament. The Queen has the power to sack the entire Australian Government. Both are true. Neither will be enforced.
MP's should vote for what they believe is the best way forward not what anyone else is telling them to do, especially people who had little idea of what they voted for. I doubt they have the belief in their judgement, or the balls to do that, but I'd love to be proved wrong.

Don't understand what the 'Sniff sniff' comment is about? Are you telling us you have a cold or something?

we are ****ing great at a load of Olympic sports at least. Loving this blue on blue action. I wonder what will happen when the terms of our departure become clear, let alone when we actually leave. We are still in the EU and will be for years.
