The black on black violence is shocking, and with some (mostly) young black men on the street so quick to turn to a gun, I can understand cops being wary when tempers flare when a cop stops a car, wants to search a suspect etc.

But some recent videos by the public have caught what looks like executions by cop. It goes beyond self defence. Highly unsettling

I don't think its executions I just think cops are very nervous when stopping blacks many who have guns and seem think life is nothing. Also videos and eyewitnesses do not always tell the whole story. I do admit sometimes cops think with their guns and not their heads. More cops are being prosecuted now with more and more of them wearing body cams.
But of course the real problem is the stupid law that makes guns easy to get.

Here is something Andrea Leadsom said a couple of years ago:

"I could envisage a situation where you had no regulation whatsoever, no minimum wage, no maternity or paternity rights, no unfair dismissal rights, and no pension rights - absolutely no regulation whatsoever for the very smallest companies."

But now she has "a real desire to see social justice in this country turned around" whatever that means. Her CV has now been laughed at by former colleagues. Taking a long time to find her tax return, isn't it? Joke candidate.

That, along with the support for fox hunting and non-support of gay marriage, is why she'll probably win. All good fun though.

Remember, it's the rabid true-blues that will support her not the MPs, it's no joke...
 
I see Baroness King of Bow (a good left-wing name), is the latest condescending politician to say the plebs didn't know what they were voting for. Yeah, let's have another referendum then...

I wouldn't say you can compare Andrea Leadsom to comedy Corbyn. Andrea is liked by other MP's it's just May has been there longer and has more experience in cabinet. Completely different to the Labour laughingstock Corbyn.

Leadsom has been rallying the troops talking about the economy, urging them to 'banish the pessimists'. On the day that Sterling tops the league of worst performing currency against the dollar of 2016, pipping the Argentinian Peso to the prize. Seriously.

A poll of 5000 Tory party members has Leadsom on 56% May 44%. We are truly entering the realm of the unwell.

Leadsom thinks she is a better choice than May because at one stage she had a fully functioning womb. Though now of course she is denying it (implying this, not denying being able to reproduce). She feels that having children gives her a 'stake in the future'. So why did she vote Leave? And does this mean that a women with more kids than Leadsom would have a bigger stake in the future and would therefore be a better PM? This woman's judgement, character and honesty appear to be very plastic. The only thing of substance I can remember her saying is that she wants the 3 million EU migrants already here to stay, regardless of the status of the 1.2 million Britis in the EU.

I believe in democracy and will abide by it. You won't catch me marching to Parliment because I lose a vote, or countless (pointless) stuff on Facebook and social media. I never voted for Blair but i accepted the result. Others should to.

One of the reasons the pound is down is because of 'project fear'. If the 'remain' campaign hadn't put fear across the world it would be a different story now. Blame Cameron/Osbourne/Obama and the rest who has talked our economy down. I notice how they are all doing quick u-turns now. As we all know business doesn't like uncertainty so the 'Pound' will suffer. Once things settle, it will go up again. (That's not me saying this is was from a top money analyst on that business channel). Let's hope he is right.

As for Cameron and NATO? Cameron said before that exit would put peace at risk. Yesterday he says opposite?

So democracy for you is simply shutting up if you don't share the view of a narrow majority? That's not my view of it. Even if I'm in a minority of one. Anyway we've made a decision to leave the EU, which I for one am not debating, but we made no decisions about what that actually means or how it was going to be done. It's still all up for grabs. That's what the debate is about now, for me. Turns out that the only person with a plan for it happening was Mark Carney. We are still not really discussing what we are going to do because we don't know who is going to be in charge, and I don't get a say in that. All I get is a bit of bitching on here.

Another interpretation of Project Fear is that it was at least partially right. It's all subjective. The currency is down dramatically (we'll see if it recovers) because we voted Leave and it's not a good investment, not because of something George Osborne said a couple of months ago.

I think the uncertainty in the financial markets is more likely to be due to the lack of a coherent plan of where we are likely to be when we have actually left than due to the remain campaign saying that things would be fine (which would have been an odd campaign stance).

Our democracy has got us to the point where a 17M to 16M vote has lead to the Brexit plan being formulated weeks after the referendum and voted on by a couple of hundred thousand Tory members.

The campaigns by wannabe leaders seems to be exclusively about immigration and has no inkling on whether their position on this will be non negotiable, whatever the consequences to our attempts to stay in the single market.

There has been a lot of uncertainty since the vote but remain haven't contributed to it (even ascribing Cameron's resignation to it seems churlish since he'd not be privvy to the non existent exit strategy that Brexit campaigners sold before formulating).

You can lose a race by a second or lose a match by 1 goal. At the end of the day you lost and the result stands.
We can all think that we are Mark Carney or Osbourne but the truth is, we are not.
At the end of the day we voted to leave and we need to get on with it.

I think everyone (except for that pea-brain Lammy) accepts that the majority voted for Brexit, so government has to deliver it.

We all have a right to comment on what Brexit will look like, but claims for a further referendum down the line or preserving uncontrolled immigration from the EU will hopefully fall on deaf ears.

We need to get a new pm in place asap. I'm not in favour of an election immediately thereafter because we need to get on with the Brexit negotiations. I favour Theresa May - I wasn't impressed with her referendum contribution - she sat on the fence, which was a bit calculating. But so long as she is committed to delivering fair but hard nosed negotiations with Merkel, and ultimately Brexit, then she'll do. I see Priti Patel, vehement about getting the independence of the UK back, is backing May, and I find that encouraging.

Leadsom says something on the issues:
- she expects EU citizens to require work and study permits to come to the UK in future, and the same for UK citizens going to the EU.
- she rejects being part of the Single Market ("a protectionist trade zone" - yes Andrea, that's why it's good being in it) and negotiating a new deal based on zero tariffs.

Good to see what the Tories are voting for. Come on Theresa, let's have some substance.

Tory MPs saying that if Leadsom wins there needs to be a quick general election, because sufficient numbers of them really, really don't want her as to make it impossible for her to govern with a majority of 12.
