What distinguishes democracies from fascist states is the willingness of opposing parties to converse with each other, argue their case and seek to persuade.

No reasonable person would condone what Hamas did on October 7th.
Equally, no reasonable person would condone the lengths that Israel has gone to in revenge for October 7th.
Was hunting ISIS down about revenge? No, it was about destroying a psychopathic terrorist organisation. So, too, Israel's war against Hamas. Most Gaza inhabitants support Hamas.
Indiscriminately killing 30,000 people, mostly women and children, is not legitimate warfare. It's revenge killing.
Hamas live in underground tunnels and use Gaza civilians as human shields. No nation on earth would go in and do half a job against a terrorist organisation like Hamas, particularly with Hamas holding hostages.

Hamas is a horrible totalitarian organisation. To assume that all Palestinians support it is like assuming that all Russians support Putin, or that all Israelis support Netanyahu. Might suit your narrative but doesn’t mean it’s true.
How many of the hostages have been killed by Israeli bombing? They even shot three who emerged waving white flags.
Do you really think it's possible to eliminate Hamas? Would it be legitimate to kill all 2 million Gazans to be certain they'd got them all?

70% of Palestinians approved of Hamas's attack on Israel. That figure is widely quoted by numerous sources. Ignore that if you like.
