It's not a question of forgiving. Edwards committed no crime, but has been disgraced and his career is finished. That's enough isn't it?

There's a Tory MP who's been accused of rape (a real crime) and hasn't even been suspended by his party. Where's the media speculation about who he might be?
how many tory mps in their 50s
should whittle down the list a bit

The man, in his 50s, was asked not to visit the parliamentary estate while being investigated, though he has not been suspended from the party.

Sounds like a thoroughly nice chap...

BBC Newsnight has also spoken to one current and one former BBC worker who said they’d received inappropriate messages from Edwards, some late at night and signed off with kisses.

One said they felt it was an abuse of power by someone very senior in the organisation. Both workers who spoke to Newsnight, and the other employee, spoke of a reluctance among junior staff to complain to managers about the conduct of high-profile colleagues in case it adversely affected their careers.

Glad to hear Rod Liddle was invited on to give his expert opinion to Newsnight. A man who chose to write in The Spectator how he didn’t become a teacher as he wouldn’t be able to resist shagging kids and left his wife shortly after marriage for a woman half his age who he went on to assault while she was pregnant.
