Johnson hasn't handed his phone to the Covid inquiry because he can't remember the passcode.

That's it then, there's plainly no other way of unlocking it.

Unless he was talking to himself I can think of a fairly obvious way to see the bulk of the conversations but I guess it’s anyone he was talking to we may not know about that has led to this unfortunately timed forgetfulness.
