Why shocked? Illegal immigration is probably the biggest issue for the UK government after the economy. The fact that there is an uprising of normal people in liberal Ireland is a sign the pressures are growing beyond UK shores. And it's going to get worse.
If that’s true it’s a sad reflection on how brainwashed the country has become. The country is falling apart, nothing works any more but if we can point at dinghies now and again that goes away for a bit.
Compare Zelenskyy with Afghan leader, Ghani, when his country was under attack. Ghani fled with car loads of cash. Zelenskyy stood his ground and never left Ukraine, despite the risks to his life and Putin's death squad's looking to hunt him down.
Ukrainians have rallied round Zelenskyy, he has become the figurehead of resistence there. He may have been an actor once, but he's turning into one of the finest leaders in the world.
