A deliberate swerve Goldie, nobody has mentioned restoring faith in the markets. We are talking about fair pay for our NHS staff. Some people are pissed off that they are on strike but dont seem bothered about them having to use food banks. Perverse hey
I've said on this site before that I have sympathy for nurses and paramedics. Not 19% in the current economic climate but a decent uplift.
The minimum service point is different, in that it applies to all strikes. Apparently, there's a ban on all blue-light strikes in the US, Canada and Australia. The UK govt is not saying it wants to go this far, but the lives of the public come before an all-out strike. If you disagree with that, say so
The government have refused so far to talk in any way, shape or form concerning this years pay award.
And for you to think that the government really cares about the the lives of the public, then you are very naive.......people are dying already, even without industrial action. I’m sure you’re willing to do the job if people get sacked for taking legitimate industrial action.....I can help with your application

Brexit isn't the problem, and while the Tories have messed up first with BJ's parties and then the Truss aberation, the big problem is Covid, lockdown and furlough. And that's what is causing problems worldwide.
If, as seems likely, Labour get in at the next GE, don't expect any material change
They can both be problems, which they are, as every credible piece of economic analysis shows.
But one can be for the greater good......and stops old men getting rich from working people......their pension pots are big enough already
This hasn't been an issue for decades and in some professions, never at all. It need not be an issue now but for some bizarre reason, the govt are choosing to continue these strikes. There isn't any need for a minimum service point unless you force it. Truss and the Tories wrecked our economy even more and they now want the average Joe to pay for it. They are scum, simple as that.

Today on The politics show, the Labour representative was constantly asked about his and his parties union affiliation, which everyone agreed he had declared.... no one asked the Tory about her big business affiliation and the amount of money the Tory party received.

I don't agree. It was needed in the days when Bob Crowe called long strikes on the Underground, preventing London from working. Unions that have a chokehold on the country need to have their power ameliorated imo
Why should an underground train driver have massively more leverage for wage increases than a traffic warden?
So you're saying the right to an all-out strike comes before the lives of members of the public...
Because a tube driver is responsible for the lives of several 100 people ( e.g Moorgate disaster) and a traffic warden doesn't...perhaps Goldie
