I deliberately used the term neo-fascist, not fascist. Here's a definition I found....

Like their fascist predecessors, the “neofascists” advocated militant nationalism and authoritarian values, opposed the liberal individualism of the Enlightenment, attacked Marxist and other left-wing ideologies, indulged in racist and xenophobic scapegoating, portrayed themselves as protectors of traditional national culture and religion, glorified violence and military heroism, and promoted populist right-wing economic programs.

That fits both Trump and your Italian bint rather well, I'd say.

They're both miles away from militant nationalism and glorifying violence. You cannot have a fascist or neo fascist that works within a democratic system. It's an oxymoron.

It's the same thing you moron.
People like you are always the ****ing same.
Anyone who thinks differently to you is dismissed as an extremist or something.

You're mind is a closed book.

Easy tiger, I think you're losing it a bit. It's not the same thing at all.

Is she though?
Do you know the history of Fratelli di Italia? If you do you would know that by definition they are neo fascist/post fascist.

But ignore me, I would say that wouldn’t I?

So it's not just us that think this about Manny Mac then
you know the context for that clip of course. Macron called Salvini disgusting in 2019 for his explicit support and attempts to wind up further the Gilet Jaunes. Meloni, following the totalitarian handbook, deliberately misrepresented this as an attack on all Italians, straight from the ‘let’s find an enemy’ far right paranoid handbook. The clip is from 2020.

Jimmy Salford. Wow, the Twitter algorithm really spews out the cream for you Goldie. I dare not think who you’ve actively followed to get to see stuff from the likes of Jimmy and David Atherton.

Anyway, God, Family, Country.

Err, both Hitler and Mussolini exploited the electoral systems of Germany and Italy to form governments post elections, and then change the constitution to make elections irrelevant. In both cases they didn’t get a majority of the votes, but when was the last time the party forming the government in the U.K. won an actual majority?

Trump would very much like to do the same, and keep your eye on Bolsanaro. Currently I suspect the Italians in general are far too cynical about their governmental system to believe that Meloni will last long in government, especially as she relies on the incredibly unreliable Salvini and Berlusconi.

Anyone who disagrees with this lot on here must be an extreme right winger Goldie, you know that.
I come from a slightly different angle and it doesn't necessarily need a label. I think putting more money in an already rich person's hand through borrowing is totally wrong. It's just simply between what's right and wrong to me.

I haven't supported that Bob.

'Neo' - a new or revived form of.

You're a bit touchy too, Goldie.

So a revised form of fascist is a democrat!

The key characteristics of a fascist are authoritarianism ie a dictatorship, and state before the individual. Neither applied to America, and they don't apply to Italy either. And using the name fascist so lightly is gradually making it meaningless.
