Just seen a bit of the Raab v Rayner clash.

Rayner manages to make Raab look barely adequate, which is a major achievement. The quality of current politics is so dire it’s not even funny any more.

Now Blair is giving his answer to life, the universe and everything on the radio, why he is right and everyone else is wrong. Why do they persist in giving this self serving big head airtime? He’s just reeled off a list of things the government should do for the NHS which he had ten years to do himself, but didn’t. What a ****.

Apparently the reason Johnson was so keen to get the story about him trying to get Carrie Symonds a highly-paid job in the Foreign Office pulled from the Times was not so much that bare fact, but more that the reason he was unable to make her his Chief of Staff was that senior civil servants had become aware that she was his mistress at the time after an MP walked into his HoC office as Carrie was giving him a blow-job.

Must go out and get Private Eye.

I thought that was already general knowledge? I heard about that two weeks ago.

More worryingly, I wouldn't want Carrie Symonds near any government role as her decision making is dubious at the best. She's obviously as brain-dead as Johnson, just by choosing him as a partner.

This lot are so like what happened under Major in the 90s. Whatever next, policies?
Second time this particular bellend has had to resign from the whips office due to sex allegations. He’ll be back soon, this will be seen as an ‘honourable’ resignation because he did it before he was pushed, which just about makes him a saint with current political standards.

Joe public would probably get nicked for it. For an MP it's just slightly embarrassing at worst
