If you want to pay more to the Treasury then just do it
Don't complain that no one's not making you do it
Virtue signaling at it's finest
Tax on earnings should be paid in the country it's earned in
Why should money earned in one country be taxed at a different countries tax rate

Well done Kiwi Rishi, you've managed to avoid the point too. Yes, these individuals can pay more to the Treasury if they choose (and probably do), but they're making the point that it shouldn't be down to choice. They, and other super-rich people should be compelled to pay more tax.

If you don't think you pay enough tax feel free to pay more
Some people might earn enough to move up thresholds but it doesn't mean they can afford to give up extra tax money

I'll have you know that Mr Sheeran made a very important point concerning the limited number of notes and chords available to song writers.

I’ve always thought that….surely in the millions of songs brought out in the last 100 years, it would be impossible for there NOT to be some kind of inadvertent “copying” of some chord, note etc through no fault of the artist.
Always been one of my drunken, rambling thoughts

Should a couple with a child, both earning £49999 get full child benefit, whereas a couple with one earner taking home £50001 and the other £0 have to start paying it back, pro rata?
Should child benefit be given to everyone
Of course it should
Unless you live overseas
Then you get nothing

That wasn’t my point Kiwi……
If you have a child in the UK then you should get child benefit
If you have a child in the UK but leave the payment should stop

If you live on the benefits your entire life should you be treated better than people who work and save for life after work

Again…..you are missing the point of my original post.

There are usually tax treaties in place between grown-up countries to ensure that an appropriate amount of tax is paid by the individual somewhere rather than they avoid paying everywhere. I wonder what's the case with Spock's missus.

Mrs Sunak is an Indian citizen and the Indians don't allow dual citizenship. Any tax she pays will therefore be paid in India. I'd say she should either renounce her Indian citizenship and become a tax-paying British citizen, or **** off back to India.
