I’ve always thought that….surely in the millions of songs brought out in the last 100 years, it would be impossible for there NOT to be some kind of inadvertent “copying” of some chord, note etc through no fault of the artist.

Many, many pop songs use the same 4 chords (usually C, G, Am, F) in the same order. Checkout the Axis of Awesome video on YouTube, its actually quite joyous. There's an earlier similar version based on Pachelbel's Canon in D which uses a similar chords sequence.

Must be a slow news day here in the South, with Meridian’s lovely Amanda Piper* informing me that more people have died in fires caused by cigarettes in Dorset than in Wiltshire. Eleven, apparently.
