The problem with our system is that people go into politics now, not as a vocation or for the want of doing good for society, but as a lucrative career. It’s seen as a stepping stone to untold riches and power, and once on that ladder you are generally set for life.
After dinner speaking or advisory roles will come knocking at your door
**** it, that’s where I’ve gone wrong…….crap career choices

It's really not right to tar every MP with the same brush of greed. There are countless good, honourable MPs on all sides.

Your description fits Johnson to to tee, however - a man with no principles whatsoever. A man who believes that rules don't apply to him, they're for the little people. The problem is, the people who report to him (in number 10 and in his Cabinet) take his lead in the way they behave.

A fish rots from the head down.

I agree…Johnson is up there with the very worse (if not THE WORSE). However I can’t agree that there are countless good, honourable MPs out there….as has been proven time and time again through things like expenses scandals etc….they are all at it.
We are having the piss taken out of us

No but a Tory MP has since that he believes some have. I think it’s a true story. Maybe they are hedging their bets?

Believes? Not really definitive. Who knows? Johnson’s actions haven’t changed in the last day. They should stick to their convictions, if some have withdrawn yeah now betting each way rather than on the nose for sure.

But a second referendum was okay according to some?

The original vote was very flawed as to detail and shouldn’t have been allowed to happen as it was, I’m not saying there shouldn’t have been a vote but that more detail was required, however it is what it is now we gotta deal with it. Mogg is dealing with it very well, made multi millions, most of the fishing industry, farmers, etc… less so.
