mmm there is always a reason/excuse to take away peoples voting rights. Plenty of cr2p countries around the World have shown us this. Fortuneately we are not one of them and we very nearly became one if there had been a second vote. Starmer will always be remembered for the fella who wanted us to vote again because we didnt return the answer they wanted.

FFS is this ever gonna end ?

It’s got me actually wanting Russia to invade Ukraine, the West to retaliate and nuclear Holocaust to relieve me from the constant ****ing repetitive drivel from the likes of you two about the bloody Brexit vote…..:emoticon-0181-fubar

Staines my mate reminded me on Monday that my late father respected and admired Tony Benn. Although politically miles apart he always respected him. Now I will be purchasing a book about his life and once read we can discuss.

I would buy Starmers book ‘Sitting on the fence’ but it won’t be released until after the date. :emoticon-0100-smile

I’m not so sure about that Ellers. Even more so after Biden has given the green light for an ‘incursion’ without possible sanctions…..

Well worth a read….as is any book about Tony Benns life and career.
His principles to democracy and what was ‘right’ and just spanned across the political divide.
If any of my beliefs align with his…then I feel I must be on the right track.
A great man who is a loss to politics

Maaaaate… you know it’s never going to end. My hope is we get serious and boring politicians, Starmer is boring and serious enough, just need Sunak in for the Torys

You just have to look at the US, since Trumps gone the circus has calmed down, currently we have

Unfortunately, in the US, Biden hasn’t been the great man they thought he would be. I can honestly see someone of Trumps ilk, if not Trump himself, have a great chance next time.
I do agree though, Trump going was a massive step away from ‘personality politics’ and the sooner we get rid of our clown the better.

I had huge respect for Tony Benn.
I certainly didn't agree with a lot of his beliefs, but he was a man of integrity. He was also a very proud patriot and not a fan of the EU.

Agreed mate…..he actually was all in favour of European unity and cooperation, however as you rightly say, totally against the Neo-Liberal monstrosity that the EU had become

Yes President senile didn't have a clue what was saying. Apparently after, his advisers were explaining to the press what he actually meant.

A good place to start for you and your mate might be a book called “The Progressive Patriot” by Billy Bragg.. Goes some way to trying to explain Patriotism from a Left Wing stance. It’s very good.
    And he signed mine :)

The poor man, I I mean that sincerely, is possibly suffering from early dementia so I do sometimes find the constant piss taking of him in poor taste (just my view for what it’s worth)

There’s always ‘audible’ or other audio book outlets. Might give you both an insight into the thoughts from the alert ;)

Biden has been no great shakes, more a bog standard grade c president. Do they deserve better? Yes, could they do worse, absolutely. There are a few silly personal smears from areas of the media, but at least it’s called way down and he’s not making an arse of himself on social media.

One thing that pisses me off about the whole partygate bollocks is that if it’s what toppled him, good, but it really should have been something such as the contracts given, how the public haven’t rioted on that is beyond me.
