Apparently it was from The Sun. There were more important things going on so it has gone quiet…I’m sure it will return. TBH The Sun are clever and anything they have on Labour will come out at the right time. talking of ‘Shaky’ I thought Starmer could have performed better today?

Like calling Boris a liar, as we all know he is, and getting away with it as he said the British public think he is...which we do....and includes Starmer himself.

Clever

Starmer performed well today.
If he had gone off on one like the SNP did, you would have berated him.
He was professional, measured and actually rather clever..with his words.
He got Boris to basically say he would consider his position when the report comes in. Boris said it took place, he said he was there for 25 minutes, and he took responsibility.

Isn't that game over.

All I'm saying is that Starmer can hardly be congratulated for doing an amazing forensic job - Boris provided him with an open goal

Agreed. Open goal doesn't even do it justice. It was an open goal with the goal posts shifted 6ft wider each side and made twice as high.

I don't see a way back for Boris now. The Tories know how damaging this is and will do what they always do - pick someone they think can win.

I think some people just don’t understand things? It’s like you can’t discuss anything other than “Boris is a liar… resign scum’”. It will be like this for a couple of weeks until something else.

Beth I’m surprised you are saying this about Boris and supporting Starmer! <yikes> Whatever next? Shock Horror!
Actually Starmer had an open goal and still managed to hit the post on the way in. Although I will agree it’s still a goal.
However you are correct about the SNP, as Boris shut him up very quickly.

Its plain to read that im not a Tory fan. But what i do want is for whoever governs our country to do the best job they possibly can. I would like them to be fair, honest and have intrgrity. Thats not much to ask is it? So saying that, i hope the Tories and those who support them do whats right for the country and dismiss Johnson asap. The longer he stays and those who defend him get tarred and the trust and faith will keep dwindling. Hopefully true Conservatives will get their party back from the clutches of sleaze and corruption and begin to govern in a manner that resembles a democratic country.

Yes, Starmer did the job asked of him. Boris has messed up and I suspect will not be long in his current office. But Tory rebels have to be careful. If they try to get rid of him and fail, he's there for another year.
I agree with what youre saying Goldy but i do take exception to people saying 'Boris messed up'. Its pathetic, he didnt mess up at all. Hes incompetent and lies on a weekly basis. Lying isnt 'messing up', its a deliberate act to fool someone or some people to gain an advantage for yourself.

You can use whatever verb you like, Bob. When Hilary Clinton told untruths, she'd say she misspoke. So... Boris misspoke. Hope that's better (but suspect it isn't!)

Exactly this mate.
The Tory hierarchy will weigh up the pros and cons of Boris leading them in to an election. If the local elections prove to be a complete disaster they will have a tough choice. Labour want him gone because Starmer will never beat him… even a wounded Boris.

Why dont you just say it as it is mate. Forget Hilary Clinton, shes irrelevant. Hes a liar who delibertately lies to deceive people. End of

Bob people will forget in a year and will be more worried about the cost of living.

I see the Tories voted down cutting vat on energy prices the other night. Yet another lie! They are already worried about the cost of living now. I think youre out of touch mate. People are furious and rightly so. This aint going anywhere until hes gone! Gone i say gone
