I don't particularly like Capitalism, but is there a viable alternative?
Our political system seems broken beyond repair, but I can't really come up with a solution.
Just feels like we all have to do whatever we can to make the best of life IN SPITE of the way the world has become.

I see that lying #### Geoff Hoon has turned on Blair by saying he was told to ‘bum’ war memo.
This is the #### that lied about our armed forces having all the best equipment knowing they were sharing bullets and vests and where I live a saw first hand tanks being stripped for parts as we didn’t have enough.
Funny social media goes into a frenzy if there’s a party yet many are skipping over one of the most devious lies in our history.
Shameful.

I can't come up with a viable alternative but I now firmly believe that Capitalism isn't the answer.
We're having to fight tooth and nail for Mrs Rangercol's mum to get the right care following her stroke, having obstacles put in our way at every turn to prevent various organisations having to part with any money.
Meanwhile, there's an obscene amount of money sloshing around at the top end of society, with big pharmaceuticals making billions out of a pandemic and other massive companies and rich individuals making so much money that they'll never need it all.
Politicians lie about almost everything and there doesn't seem to me to be a solution.

Firstly Col I am sorry to hear about Mrs RC mum. My late father had a stroke and it was a horrific time for my family. The whole thing has mentally scared me. And I agree about Pharma companies and other organisations. However there has been many ideologies in the past and no matter how hard they tried to work there will always be someone who wants more or someone who doesn’t get enough.

Capitalism with the right checks and balances is the answer. Society must promote aspiration and reward, but the most successful must plough plenty back to grass roots.

We need another Anti-capitalist day in London again. I cant wait to see all those activists turn up in their designer clothes to smash up a McDonalds only to be seen 30 mins later eating a Burger King.
We could get to see Charlotte Church come on stage to speak... but only for 10 minutes because her chauffer needs to get her to the 'heli-pad' so she can board her private helicopter to fly her her (like before). But never fear Emma Thompson will be there! Flying in first class from her multi-million dollar home in the US to tell us how we should live? The ususal suspects causing problems with the police... until next week when it will be that extinction thing or Insulation... or whatever is this weeks colour orange.
I cant wait!

All well and good in theory, but is failing in my opinion.
As I say, I have no solutions and readily admit that what we're going through at the moment is very much affecting my thinking.

As I say, I'm not suggesting an alternative that has been tried before etc etc.
However, I am starting to think that something really has to change across the board.
