That's my fall-back position
Better than Kakay I expect.

Failing that how about a virus that doesn't effect the first worldI'll disappoint Watford and swerve firing squads.
A comprehensive worldwide project of family planning, contraception, empowering women. Quality education. Where possible, controlling migration flows so indigenous people are not forced to leave their homes. Making government responsible with targets.
Not all easy but vital for sustainability.
Failing that how about a virus that doesn't effect the first world
No one would be in a rush to find a vaccine

It did for the ones that were more equal than othersCommunism has worked well.![]()
Capitalism works better than all the others because you will always have greedy people who want more.It did for the ones that were more equal than others

Firstly Col I am sorry to hear about Mrs RC mum. My late father had a stroke and it was a horrific time for my family. The whole thing has mentally scared me. And I agree about Pharma companies and other organisations. However there has been many ideologies in the past and no matter how hard they tried to work there will always be someone who wants more or someone who doesn’t get enough.I can't come up with a viable alternative but I now firmly believe that Capitalism isn't the answer.
We're having to fight tooth and nail for Mrs Rangercol's mum to get the right care following her stroke, having obstacles put in our way at every turn to prevent various organisations having to part with any money.
Meanwhile, there's an obscene amount of money sloshing around at the top end of society, with big pharmaceuticals making billions out of a pandemic and other massive companies and rich individuals making so much money that they'll never need it all.
Politicians lie about almost everything and there doesn't seem to me to be a solution.

We need another Anti-capitalist day in London again. I cant wait to see all those activists turn up in their designer clothes to smash up a McDonalds only to be seen 30 mins later eating a Burger King.Capitalism with the right checks and balances is the answer. Society must promote aspiration and reward, but the most successful must plough plenty back to grass roots.

Anything at all you would prefer to capitalismAll well and good in theory, but is failing in my opinion.
As I say, I have no solutions and readily admit that what we're going through at the moment is very much affecting my thinking.
