It’s his wife’s family’s property I think. Certainly little Rishi couldn’t afford it on his MPs salary, and he hasn’t declared any other income despite his wife’s family’s £1.7bn wealth. I understand they are building a £400k ‘leisure complex’ so he can keep in shape.

Lot of right wing/free marketeer Tories really hate Sunak, even though I suspect he is a free marketeer at heart. Redwood blames his economic policies and the government throwing British agriculture under the bus for the defeat in North Shropshire rather than corruption and lies. It’s on Redwood’s Twitter feed. There are plenty of Tory MPs ready and willing to make Sunak’s life a misery if he succeeds Johnson. Personally I think the scary Truss has a better chance, resonates more with the blue rinse and tweed set. Thick as pig **** of course and nasty with it, but there you go.
Sunak’s sister is actually head of a Foreign Office department, that of Humanitarian , Peacebuilding UN Funds and Programmes. Exactly the type of things Truss would like to bin.

I really don’t get the Sunak fandom. As I’m sure I’ve said before, all he’s done is spent loads of my money long before I’ve earned it. If that’s all that’s required then my ex-wife could be chancellor.
