Just to point out what scrapping would mean

The Human Rights Act is a UK law passed in 1998. It lets you defend your rights in UK courts and compels public organisations – including the Government, police and local councils – to treat everyone equally, with fairness, dignity and respect.

So that is OK to get rid of????

Does everyone get treated fairly under the HRA?...

i know but certain things you can't change... unless someone does?

Some people choose to change lots of things though. Plastic surgery, hair transplants, nose jobs. I don’t care if someone wants to call themselves Terri when they used to be Terry but I can’t buy the “messing with biology” argument.

Agree but at the beginning you are a boy or a girl unless there were problems in pregnancy.
Maybe I should identify myself a female cat and get a cheap season ticket?

In the beginning 99.9% of us are a boy or girl. Innovation means that can be changed for the very small number of people who feel they’re born into the wrong body. Doesn’t have to be a big deal IMO.

I agree it shouldn’t be a big deal but many keep pushing it into the faces of others. As you say, it’s a small number.

The big deal is when biological men call themselves a woman and expect to be allowed into women and girls' changing rooms and toilets.
