I said people on benefits didn't need any extra money during the lockdown. On a separate issue, I said folks savings mainly went up and not down during lockdown. I never mentioned anybody employed/unemployed dipping into their savings. Let's keep this factual, please.

The reason I call the chancellor Socialist Sunak is because I believe he spent too much during the pandemic and most of it was wasted cash.
Eat out to help out. Never seen the point in that and it will have cost the taxpayer a fortune.
£20 a week extra for UC. I never understood that because it wasn't needed. Now, they're removing it at a time when all of our bills are on the rise. This should have been the time to give people extra money. The Conservatives got that back to front. They've got it wrong.
Furlough scheme and grants for businesses. Pretty much everybody I know who was able to take advantage with that went on to take a bit of a liberty with it, tbh. Good idea but far to relaxed and carefree with it.

Totally agree about the furlough scheme. Great idea on paper but abused by unscrupulous employers

Feel free to point out the ****e and discuss it.
Peoples savings went up? Mine certainly didnt and i dont know a single person who didnt dip into them (if they had any). How do you know people on benefits didnt need that extra 20 quid? My mother works for a charity helping these people, it was needed more than ever! And its needed even more so now!

But hey wages are going up. Sis in laws pathetic pay increase is now just about swallowed by the NIC increase, cost of living, energy bills, fuel rises, food rises.

But the rises you mention aren’t due to Brexit but instead down to the Tories ?
Whereas the wage rise in certain sectors is most definitely down to Brexit.
The two things are completely different.

Oh i didnt realise people were talking brexit. I didnt refer to it to be fair.

We were talking wage rises…keep up Bob
Been a long day! But yeah, the brexit bonus of wage increases has been snatched away before anyone can benefit from them anyway, with all the rising increases. I always recall Reece Mogg saying that we wouldnt see any brexit benefits for 50 plus years, well we ****in wont with these twats in charge!

Agreed Bob. That’s why we can all concentrate on defeating the real enemy.

Depends for who fellow bob.

Middle class office workers and companies that are did okay, all those people have saved loads. Save on travelling, save on meals out, saved on all the holidays they would have typically taken.

The underclass and lower class and anyone who lost their job obviously didn't save. Small businesses tend to have lost out too (retails etc). I would say takeaways/catering businesses has increased for those out in the sticks whereas those in the city lost out. Anything dining in obviously took big hits

Just to add, this is seen in why everything is going up. Obviously the supply side has issues in terms of getting stuff delivered (freight costs more, lack of drivers etc, paperwork for EU goods) but the demand has also shot up on things like house renovations, people buying new houses etc. That's cause a bunch of people have been growing their pots big

Turkey is just a **** version of chicken. Anyway that woman would have found an angle to stitch him up, he was right not to fall into a trap so obvious Wile E Coyote would have dismissed it.
