I'm not sure there are more racists than before, but I think a lot of this vile abuse is thick, copycat twats.
Totally agree that more needs to be done and that it's all 100% deplorable.
I bet some of these twats would give Sterling abuse when he's playing for Citeh and then cheer him when he plays for England.

Social media has given, what seems like an anonymous platform to carry out racial abuse. Its ruining a whole generation. The sooner limitations are put on these outlets the better!

The other undesirable aspect to internet life is the immediate and unrestricted access kids have to hard pornography now. I'm convinced this is behind the vile way some schoolboys treat their female counterparts.

I'll sound like an old fogey, but when I was a teenager, we treated girls with respect not sex objects. It's becoming a real problem.

No I agree I don’t think there are more, just that they feel free, in a no consequence environment, to spew out their ****e, and unless something happens, I can only see it getting worse.

On the bright side, we have an independent report to prove it’s not institutionalised so it definitely isn’t the government’s fault that people who previously would have had to mutter to themselves in the corner of the pub are now emboldened to air their views.

Ex-Labour MP Claudia Webbe has revealed a shocking fact: Western countries once colonised Africa.

Sharing a map showing how Africa was carved up by European powers in the 19th century, Webbe tweeted, ‘This map has been hidden from you all your life’.

But as many Twitter users pointed out, most of us have seen this kind of map before. Who on earth is not aware that European countries colonised Africa? Or that Europeans were responsible for carving up the map?

Yet Webbe didn’t only claim that this history is unknown — she also implied there has been a conscious conspiracy to keep it that way.

‘Anti-racist’ activists regularly claim that the horrors of imperialism are (intentionally) ignored in schools. But it simply isn’t true. The history of British imperialism is actually part of the national curriculum. Anyone who paid attention in history classes will know that Britain, like many other European countries, had an empire – and that it was nasty.

Only an ex-Labour MP could be so clueless as to think this is news.

Correct, the scum are loving a no accountability platforms to spew their ****e, I can’t imagine being that unbelievably stupid to think less of someone due to a circumstance of birth, let alone hate someone for it
