I think the 'people of colour' discussion is a bit of a red herring, no?
In his statement he made a whole series of inappropriate comments - South Asians all in the IT Department, girls not liking a football being kicked at them, being gay being a 'life choice', and the 'coloured people' faux pas. Quite amazing to get so many inappropriate comments in one evidence session, his PR team must have been stunned.
Had it been one comment he might have been able to apologise profusely and say that he meant to say people of colour and been forgiven. The kaleidoscope of offences is surely the main issue?
