The equalities watchdog found evidence of political interference in the complaints process, with 23 instances of inappropriate involvement by the Leader of the Opposition’s Office (LOTO) and others in the 70 files looked at.
It said this included LOTO staff influencing decisions on complaints, especially decisions on suspensions or to investigate a claim. Some decisions were made because of likely press interest rather than any formal criteria.
In what appears to be a particularly serious finding, the EHRC said:
The Labour Party adopted a practice of political interference in certain complaints and the evidence indicates that it occurred more regularly in antisemitism cases.
The EHRC has found this to be indirectly discriminatory and unlawful, adding that the practice puts the person making a complaint of antisemitism at a disadvantage as they could face different and detrimental treatment and a risk that their complaint would not be handled fairly.
A transparent and independent antisemitism complaints process, where all cases of alleged discrimination, harassment or victimisation are investigated promptly, rigorously and without interference is an essential part of the reforms needed to rebuild trust.

Interesting quote from a teacher with Muslim children re the problem with Islam in France:
"...the FT spoke to French teachers on the ground, where one admitted to not feeling safe. “If I have to show a film with a nude scene, a couple embracing, there’d be shouting,” she told the paper: “not the normal teenage stuff, real aggression, kids saying it’s not allowed."
It somehow encapsulates the problem for a freedom-loving indigenous French population and suppressed, unenlightened and misogynistic incomers

Right there is nothing that we didn't already know. No good banging on about it. Jezza will get off and retire. Starmer will say it won't happen again and the lefty MSM will worry more about the incident in Nice.

It may be that Labour is the most antisemitic party in Europe since the Nazis. I can't think of worse
I hadn't realised the extent of the problem. The thing is, the French like you say are free-loving and it's everything that some hate. more problems ahead
I think they've got really big problems with Islamism in France. French values and those of the a large part of the Muslim population are totally at odds.
When this story broke I quoted about this young reporter and her investigation. When I mentioned it on here I was shot down in flames from some saying that Jezza wasn't like that and that the Tory Party had a worse problem with Muslims. I said that there were some 1200 complaints and there was no smoke without fire. However, even with MP's leaving the party, the Jewish community disassociating itself from the party some still ignored the signs... Well, today all you Jezza and Labour apologists need to accept that there was a problem and Jezza was the captain of the ship. Hopefully, Starmer will irradicate this and Labour can be a decent party again. There are some fab Labour MP's who are not associated with this. Not everyone is like that. I will leave this with the quote from Mann's "Thank god the truth has come out and we will see the end of Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour Party can move forward" .

I can't think of another European country that has harassed Jewish people in this way. Certainly not "old" Europe. Perhaps some of the Soviet satellite states while part of the USSR. You're clearly an expert. What do you say?
I can’t think of a country with the standing as the U.K. to have such problems. I will say there are groups around Europe but nothing like the equivalent to the Labour Party in the U.K. but I maybe wrong.

How about the neo nazi party that won seats in the Greek parliament not so long ago for starters?
You have to look as far back as 1990 to find more overt and unpleasant examples of antisemitism from major political parties in countries like Poland (Law and Justice Party) and Hungary (Orban). And that's before one looks at countries like Russia or Turkey. Dutch far right parties have been well supported and antisemitic for a long time, and you have the FN in France.
I'm sure if I could be bothered to google further there would be more.
Now if you were to revise your statement to say that no major political party in Western European countries has had such a systemic issue with antisemitism in the last few decades I think you'd be on much safer ground.
For the record, I think Labour under Corbyn had a significant problem and I'm glad it has been interrogated thoroughly. I'm also glad Starmer seems genuinely keen to put a stop to it, but I don't think it will be as easy as a few high profile sackings or firm statements.
So a few dodgy east European countries and a couple of far right parties from Greece/France/Holland? mmm Were any other them investigated by the Council of Human rights? Not knocking your reply Raving just interested.
It's a sad indictment on the Labour Party, that to find a European party more antisemitic since 1945, it's necessary to list loony Neo Nazi parties. Says it all really.
Yes, Starmer has a lot to do. And the fact that he was prominent in Corbyn's shadow cabinet will make the hard decisions on whom to kick out, more difficult
Starmer has the opportunity to lay down a serious marker by expelling Corbyn and his supporters but would he have the balls? I somehow think not. They have brought the party into disrepute and the fact Corbyn has said he disagrees with some of the findings should be Starmer's chance to make his mark. The message should be loud and clear to Momentum where most of the problem lies...
