Actually I must thank bob for posting that meme because when I was checking something out I found a fab article on Voltaire that I am now reading on. :emoticon-0148-yes:

He will certainly go down in history one way or another, my guess is it's for the man who broke Britain.

Have you seen the satisfaction polling of the French electorate on Macron's handling of Covid? Incredibly low. I doubt there will be a Western leader that comes out of this debacle unscathed

Sound, that makes it ok then

There's plenty to criticise the govt on, but every country in the Western World is moving forward like a man with his eyes bandaged. Slowly, feeling his way. There is a right way and a wrong way on Covid, but no one, be it journalist, scientist, economist, knows yet what the **** it is

Chances are it’s not funnelling money to your mates for poor quality services costing lives.

So you accept some artists quote but not from someone else?
So that tells me you only agree with one because you don't like to hear the other.
I will try again.
George Galloway knows Starmer and he quoted that ”he is so wooden birds nest on him”.
Is that okay?

Right so are we dismissing the Jesus one as that was rather silly, and you are comparing one persons opinion on another person with a more historical philosophical point, which someone has drawn a parallel with the actions. You can't draw a parallel between the two here.

What had you in mind?

A vaguely cost-efficient and effective track and trace system would be handy.

Innocent mistakes can be forgiven to a point even if they’re made more likely by choosing to have a pliant Cabinet. Utilising a pandemic for profit at the country you’re meant to lead’s expense, less so.

But it's correct. It gets dragged up for anything.

Quite probably, however the point I was making is that you have constantly discredited articles due to it being a source you mock even though there has been factual evidence within it just doesn't support your point, so just playing by your rules.

Agree track and trace.

Who in the government or advising the government is profiting from the pandemic?

Jesus was me being silly but I would like to know how a quote that was not from Voltaire but from a 1930's supremacist is relevant to today's situation? Maybe you could enlighten me?

This is another lefty load of tosh. Tories making money out of peoples suffering. Utter cr2p

Interesting to see Barnier and EU member states starting to turn the screw on France over its intransigence on the Brexit fishing issue. If Germany joins in, France will have to fold surely, or create a crisis within the EU after a no deal

A couple of old right wingers on a football forum might want to pretend it’s not happening for some reason lost on me but there have been ample examples posted on this thread.
