probably. He shouldn't have signed the thing in the first place. Only Johnson can answer that. However, it still comes down to our treatment from the EU. According to quite a few inside sources, they are acting like the mafia. They are trying to f22k us over and are using Ireland to do it... (like they said they would). Sorry if it comes to them or us, I know whose camp I will be in.
Sadly the EU doesn't understand the meaning of democracy and neither do some in this country. Their problem is the more the EU make things hard for us and the more people like Blair and co interfere, the more the British public will tell them to f22k off.
I have gone from someone who was a bit of a remainer to a leaver to a hard leaver... that is down to the EU and the useful idiots we have in this country. I am not the only one and I hear it all the time from mates and people I listen to on the radio. Farage was right all along.
This all goes back to when Cameron wanted some concessions and they (EU) laughed him out of the building. They are not laughing now and only have themselves to blame.

Obviously there are people who can do her job and Lineker’s and would probably do so for minimum wage for the privilege but it’s not really the point. Lineker takes a wage below his market rate and he’s very good at it even if he dares to be a bit of a leftie and upset flag-shaggers occasionally. The BBC pay disclosures don't cover all their "stars" of course. Many are paid through through their own management or production companies and are therefore off the payroll. This is generally done by the individual involved to generate their income on a tax efficient basis. Nothing illegal in that - I provide my interim consultancy on the same type of arrangement (though not to the BBC!)
What it does mean of course is that public attention is focused on those names that are disclosed, not necessarily those that the BBC pays the most to

That is correct. A couple of times I have been paid through another company while working for the BBC.
So Gary Lineker isn't their top earner then Ellers - it's really you! You can buy everyone a beer when we finally get to return to LR!
tbh it is pretty ****. It's this sort of stuff where we now get career politicians and government who actually aren't in it to make the country better but are there to just get a fancy job.
See Clegg as a prime example of this although at least when he decided to represent facebook, he wasn't working in our government.

I look at the bunch is government now and i think how many of them want to even work to make the country better rather than working in government to get a cushy number. I guess Grayling is one to hate on a bit easier as he's one of johnsons chums exemplified by his stellar work to hand out a contract to a shipping company who didn't own any ships or even sailed a ship at all.
I've typed all this and having another think, i think the thing about this deal is, he's an "advisor" to the top port chiefs. If he was doing what Boris did and writing opinion columns in the newspaper i think it'd be less of an issue as at least i know he's being employed to debate his views. IMO I don't see Grayling doing on any advising, he's being paid purely because he has influence on enough people to arrange more special contracts/rules for the likes of these port companies.
To be fair though Bobby, the same could probably be said of many Labour and Lib Dem MPs as well. Gone are the days of great men like Tony Benn and the like, who actually did have the countries best interests at heart, whether you agreed with them or not.
You’re joking mate. They were crap payers compared to other contracts. I will say though, that there were a lot of unnecessary people in that organisation.

yea, this is a snipe at all politicians in the main. I was just putting out grayling there as he was the example within the article.
I know this stuff happens a lot, especially after they leave their MP position (i think i pointed clegg out). Just my view on the whole situation really.
