Don't be silly Bob. You answered your own question. Because they believe it is easy to deflect attention away from the incompetence of the chosen one by harping on about someone who is the bogeyman for all right thinking decent folk what vote for all that's good. Starmer doesn't give a toss. He knows that they can waste as much time and energy as they like because more sensible voters will look at Johnson and say " Why does that fat man have that silly hair?" and then follow it up with "Why does he talk suck bollocks? That man on the other side knows what he is doing."People still use Corbyn as their 'get out' even now! What if corbyn, but corbyn blah blah. Why people give a **** about some back bencher over the actual incompetence of our puppet PM is beyond me.

Intriguing, but begs the question 'Why should you be privy to this information, but not the Select Committee?'
Are you saying that there was a lot done 'behind the scenes' in relation to investigating Russian interference in the EU referendum?
Let's just say that I'm very good friends with a "civil servant"
So you don't actually know anything then.
Johnson is getting major stick over the lack of action over possible Russian interference in the EU referendum. If there really had been 'behind the scenes' investigations, wouldn't he say so (without giving details)? Or indeed, wouldn't the government have made the Select Committee aware?
I don't buy it, I'm afraid.
It wasn't this particular issue that my friend was referring to
He was approached about his role because of his language skills so has a very specialist role
Most of what he does will never be in the public domain nor available to the clowns in the HoC
Ah ok, your original post mentioned the Select Committee and therefore gave the impression that you were referring to the Russia report. A little misleading.
Interesting that your very good friend would tell you things that his employers don't know about.
His function doesn't trust politicians lol
The politicians can't be trusted with a lot of sensitive information
Would he? What he would or wouldnt have done is totally irrelevant. What our PM does or who he takes money from is.
I see that more Tories have appeared on Russia today tv than labour mps, also taking more money. Must have slipped johnsons mind that.

Maybe it's easier to get the ones on the payroll to interview.Or is it that Russia Today aren't interested in interviewing politicians from an opposition that has been in total disarray?
