I've just noticed he IS Cabinet Secretary for Justice. You couldn't make it up
As Cabinet Secretary for Justice surely he has some influence over appointments in his area, so is he not implicitly therefore recognising his own personal failure?

Accepting of course that he doesn't appoint members of the judiciary

I don't follow your logic. I don't see that acting as a justice minister means he recognises his breach of the law. I suppose there's the argument that it takes a criminal to catch a criminal!

These would be the civil service forecasts (Treasury) which Remainers May and Hammond commissioned, would they? They've been heavily criticised for making flawed assumptions.

Maybe, are they?

Is any credible organisation suggesting it’s not going to be an economic **** show?

ONS? BOE?

Sorry - I was referring to his rant over the whiteness of Scottish institutions

Clearly he was a tw@t for driving without insurance - same as anyone else would be

None of them have a ****ing clue though. The CBI gives forecasts and recommendations and with the benefit of hindsight, they're toilet. They wanted us to join the ERM. They wanted us to join the Euro.

Anyone who relies on long term economic forecasts from anyone is badly misled. Because other factor intervene, and in Covid you have a classic example. You might as well throw straw in the air.

So essentially it’s going to be great as long as we believe it’s going to be great despite the best evidence available. Reassuring.

There is no inherent reason why the UK should not be the successful independent country that the majority of its population wants. You have to go into a venture with a positive attitude or you fail. As a football fan, I'm sure you can appreciate that. Under May's government, the attitude of civil servants like Ollie Robbins, was to apologise to his mates in Brussels and ask the EU negotiators to treat him gently as he struggles to make the best of what he regarded was a bad job. Thank God he's gone

Totally......there are probably more people of Asian descent at Virginia Water Lake on a Sunday than any other community, that’s the way it’s always been and probably always will be.......I don’t get all this looking to divide us stuff.

BLM now showing their true colours, I guess all those white middle class lefties who rushed to crowdfund the group will now realise they've been had. Even Starmer has done a swift about-turn on them...
