Goldie you are trying to defend the indefensible. My mate couldn’t go and mourn at his mums funeral......I had to tell people they couldn’t sit in with their sick and dying relatives.....but Dom was ok testing his eyesight by having a drive 200 miles from his main residence
I like Goldy but I feel like he is letting himself down here. What's right and what's wrong. I believe Goldy can differentiate.

What was his childs needs?

There is an exception there for children. No argument about that. Bob asks what were his child's needs. Cummings was concerned that if he and his wife went down with the virus there would be no one to help the child. At home in Durham, he had young nieces to help in an emergency. In fact, the child was sick and had to go to hospital, so there's some substance here.

If Cummings's explanation has a weakness, it's the trip to the castle which sounds contrived, I agree.

This!! For a party that have gained support on emotive campaigning rather than factual, this is an amazingly emotive situation, granted the facts back up he was a ****, but it's a serious error in judgement

Cummings said he was well for the trip Goldy. So at the point he set out, there were no needs for his child.

Could be worse they could have put loads up implying he was mentally ******ed... bit like happened with Diane Abbott.

Didn't see those. Abbott is hardly ******ed, but she's scatty where numbers are concerned. Her son appears to have serious mental problems possibly through drug use.

Goldy, according to Cummings own statement, no child care was received throughout his little adventure, so on what basis was his child in a position to warrant this trip.

I’m willing to bet that if I asked 1000 people how far they would have to travel to provide childcare for their sick (or potentially sick) child, not A SINGLE ONE would quote a distance anything like Cummings travelled.
It’s an absolute joke...and what’s more of a joke is that some on here and elsewhere are defending the ****.

Anyway, I’ll raise a glass to Dom and you all on Sunday.....thanks for the green light to do what the **** I want to do.

I've said already, the parents assumed they would both go down with the virus, and wanted a fall back situation with Cumming's nieces in the event of emergency

If all of those 1000 had parents and supporting relatives in the North, I bet a lot of them would head for where they could get support in the event of emergency.
