Like I say, it's a case of right and wrong. If you send a message, from the top, saying it's ok to lie, it's ok.to fabricate stories to get you out of the ****, then what message does that send to society in general. Anyone who defends or supports these types of actions really isn't a pleasant person and certainly, I for one wouldnt want them in a teaching capacity with thoughts like that.

It’s genuinely a bit reassuring that the likes of Iain Dale and Julia Hartley-Brewer, and the Mail of course, aren’t blindly sticking by their guy. Not to mention an unknown number of MPs even though I don’t know if any of the cumguzzling class of 2019 have done so publicly.
It demonstrates it’s not the simple Leave v Remain argument our resident righties would like it to be.
