has it been scrapped for everyone
Of course not. That will need at least a week of shame.

do the foreigners that land by dingy get a surcharge
I guess you think Germany in the 1930's is pertinent. How far do you want to go back? Political parties evolve, influenced by the leader. I think recent years are pertinent.
So now they’ve scrapped the surcharge. Definitely not just making it up as they go along though. One could argue it’s a small win for Starmzy.
Deluded. I thought you would come out with that rubbish? The wooden top had nothing to do with it, although he will claim he did. It was backbencher Tories that made Boris change his mind. All Starmer did was get wind of it and Bring it up.Mmm we might have to disagree a bit here re Chris Patten. Back in the day he made he wasn’t that liked. Although I will have a listen.Good interview on here with Chris Patten about our relations with China (starts at about 08.25)…..

A great shame that the Tory party is inhabited these days by political pygmies in comparison to Patten.

Full credit to them for changing their minds though. I do feel it wasnt really the best climate to continue with such plans and the public would react to it (well decent people anyway). Good work Starmer. If Starmer got wind of it, why didn't Johnson? Just yesterday he said that he'd considered it long and hard and decided that it was right - in doing so saying that it contributed £900m, which is massively wrong (i.e. a lie).
Do you think BJ should have stuck to his guns or do you think they have now made the correct decision?Deluded. I thought you would come out with that rubbish? eer he did and he needs to keep a tight ship as there will be some important votes soon. Nothing to do with Starmer... as if?If Starmer got wind of it, why didn't Johnson? He is in a difficult position. Credit that he did a U-turn but the usual lefty mob are now knocking him for the thing they wanted him to do. We all know that Boris will get crap whatever he does (from certain people).Do you think BJ should have stuck to his guns or do you think they have now made the correct decision?
How is changing your mind lying? You need get a grip Stroller. You are sounding like Starmer... negative ( watch out for that word as it will be used a lot from now on ...and ‘dull’).He did? So he lied.
again.

I did say full credit in my other post. It was possibly a very damaging policy to pursue and regardless of why they changed stance, at least they have. As accusing Starmer of being negative, I'm yet to find anyone, anywhere in this country who can describe what has happened in the uk in a positive manner. If they do then they are really horrible nasty people, surely you can see that.He is in a difficult position. Not strange to point out that the u-turn was a good thing, right? We shouldn't then start knocking him and calling him a liar For changing his mind?Bizarre. You are a very strange man, Ellers. And for that reason, I'm out.
Your twisting it now Bob... go back to first position and start again. Starmer was negative in what he said yesterday and fell to bits when Boris told him so.I did say full credit in my other post. I agree with you Ellers. Something, someone or many influenced a change of mind/direction. I dont class that as a lie either. We have seen Boris lie many times. Theres plenty of video evidence to prove that. This was not one of those occasions though. The right outcome in the end.Not strange to point out that the u-turn was a good thing, right? He cannot win whatever he does? Except on Brexit and an election![]()
