It’s not a simple question though, especially if you aren’t armed with the facts. Maybe she should have just flounced out of doing the interview at all like senior ministers boycotting Piers Morgan.
Piers Morgan needs to take a chill pill and stop playing to the audience. I spoke to 2 Morgans fans yesterday and both said he was being a dick of late. Fortunately, I don't watch 'Chav TV' so I missed his meltdown yesterday. I may just have a look to see what he said.
In answer to the first part of your question... you answered it yourself? If you are not armed with the facts you shouldn't criticise as she did? Her "sticking up for the government" comment was embarrassing and I reckon Mr. 'Woodentop' would have cringed at it.

It's not the first time it's happened to her and won't be the last. Lisa Nandy would have made a much better deputy leader. Rayner is thick with a big mouth. Empty vessels and all that...
Have you noticed Starmer's U-turn on Brexit?
Keir Starmer refuses to back Brexit transition extension
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...r-starmer-boris-johnson-deal-eu-a9508136.html

He seems to be sitting on the fence a bit now. And after the event... complains. He won't commit to anything.

Sorry, Goldie... Agree and I have always said that Lisa Nandy for me should have been at least deputy.

If he calls for an extension he just gets painted as being undemocratic, unpatriotic or some other nonsense when clearly Brexit is the single stupidest thing we could be contemplating right now. It’s exactly what Johnson and the right wing rags want to distract from the current ****storm.

It’s not her fault she’s not armed with them though. Why are they so opaque about sharing the science they so rigidly hide behind?

There is no way in the world it should be completed now, the government has shown how corrupt it has been through this crisis handing out contracts to donors and family members, without due diligence. I wouldn't trust them to open a can of beans that was already open let alone not to do some dodgy dealings that see the likes of Moggs pocket get fatter.

Well, that's wrong because the transition and the date happened before Covid-19? unless your argument includes quantum physics?

There’s really no need to be. Johnson could just do a **** on the lectern and enough people would clap wildly like seals about what an inspiring speech it was. It’s his for as long as he wants it.
Watford his speech the other night was very good. Agree it lacked the full facts but he had passion in him. Did you not notice his body language (the clenching of the fist)? That wasn't faked. People can say all they want on here but Boris is a popular guy.

People don’t need passion. They need the right guidance to stop themselves contracting a deadly virus.

What was good about it? A 13 minute pre-recorded message that left no one with any real answers.

Sorry I didn't see this post.
What do you mean not her fault? She is the deputy leader of the opposition! She was very vocal and critical of the government yet when asked what she would do she couldn't answer? Furthermore, when asked if she believed that the government has cost lives she again wouldn't answer after she has spent the last few weeks blaming them for everything.
Mate it's not defensible. I know you like a good old debate but on this occasion Rayner made herself look an idiot.

100 times this, fed up of emotion and platitudes being seen as more important than actual facts and actions, it's ****ing ludicrous

She’s not party to “the science” as far as I know. Not many people are.

Of course the government has cost lives. Tens of thousands of them. She’d be unwise to say that though and give them another distraction piece.

Well, it was pretty clear to me. He said he would make a statement in the house and a have 60-page booklet the next day. Which he did.
On that, I thought Labour again tried a few cheap shots. Complaining about it more questions than answers' yet they received early copies of the guidelines? They got pulled up on that last night as this morning.
