America and Russia won the war. Britain was losing big time till Pearl Harbour. As soon as the yanks came on board things turned.

Sadly your country won't get a say. Germany and France boss the EU and others do as they say... a bit like that vote you had in Ireland which the EU didn't like the answer to and made you vote again. Ireland is useful to the EU at present because of the border and that we are leaving. Once that is settled they won't care mate.
As for Turkey.... they will join at some point.

WRONG, Russia or America are not really part of Europe. Peace was maintained in Europe since 1945 (largely except the old Yugislav and Northern Ireland civil wars) due to the political unity of
All EU countries. NATO did **** all when Russia invaded Ukraine sovereign territory.

Your grasp of history is a little dodgy too.

I have no dislike of Britain Col. I lived there 15 years and mostly enjoyed every minute of it. As for our leader, he is on his last legs and will be voted out in a week or so. My grasp of history is regarding WW2 is that America and Russia did more to defeat Nazism than Britain did.

Agree with Col here... you forget that England stood only until the US joined. Germany had to send much needed stuff for the Atlantic wall which if they hadn't needed would have changed the outcome.
As for the Ukraine I think people should actually look at the full facts. I wonder what the EU would have done if Ukraine had been an EU state... especially with Ireland not wanting an army?

Yes, Germany and France boss Europe. That is the reason Britain is leaving. You can not accept a submissive role behind those two countries.

Ireland is very useful to the EU now. We remain the only English speaking country in the EU. That will attract even more direct foreign investment to us. Suck it up Ellers. A little small country that left the UK 100 odd years ago is now thriving. Scotand and NI who are being dragged out against their wishes should take note.
