No he is just boring and at every oppertunity he gets he talks about "another Scottish referendum". It's not the Tories that want to break up the union its the SNP. Who like the rest of the fanatics cannot accept the last vote (in both Scotland & Brexit). What put of once in a generation does he not understand? I have heard him many times on the radio/TV and can make an informed opinion of him.
The best one was a recent interview with Iain Dale where he said "it was impossible not to have a hard boarder in Ireland if the UK left the EU". So Iain said "what about if Scotland left the UK?" He replied "there would be no need for a hard border". Another idiot just trying to mess things up. The rabble they call the SNP should not be anywhere near the House. They should put them in a broom cupboard.
As I have said it comes down to a simple thing. We must respect democracy at all costs. We voted and the result was to leave. Accept it, get on with it and if people want another vote in 20 years they can. All this crap about people changing their minds is part of the excuse. The only reasons its taken 3 years is because fanatics on both sides have frustrated it. just get it done!

oh the old blame game
I believe the Scottish people respected their last independence vote but the clue is that took place in the past. Events since then by the antics of the British government may of changed opinion based on the fact they would still be part of the EU.

You see the timeline of events is very important here as is opinions regarding any new votes or referendums that take place in the future.

it’s similar to Father Ted explaining to Dougal that some things are close and some things are further away.

Brexit hasn’t been delivered for a reason and that may we’ll be because the result divided the country. Today there is a clear and pure understanding of the impacts that Brexit will bring. Benefits of course but overall it is now established that harm will be inflected

This is still the reason why many people are still resisting the outcome of the last referendum... The established impact to the country.

Now the Scottish people to perfectly understand this in the now today so I give them full respect that they may feel let down by the British political system and it’s performance since 2016

If only the governance would reveal to the nation the vision of a post Brexit plan but it seems they are still unable to in fact the actual withdrawal agreement doesn’t look like it’s well known to anyone?

Yet still even now today we have people not only supporting the current mess but at the same time seem to trying to blame everyone else for the failure of Brexit.

Respect the religious type blindness to actual events in the now but stand up and be counted as responsibility should start at home

The remoanrs are quiet tonight? Normally we hear about a ”losers vote” by now. I bet they are crying in their undemocratic lattes.

Funnily enough, some of us have better things to do than sit on here baiting other posters.

I heard a Scottish expert on LBC who said the SNP would lose if there was one. Most don't want another vote...i know how they feel.

It's delicately balanced, and, as far as I can tell, is very dependant on the type of Brexit deal that is done. Sturgeon talks the talk, and is a clever woman, but I wouldn't want the SNP running everything in Scotland, as their record over the last twelve years in power is poor - NHS, education, police and prisons are a shambles. The problem she has is that she believes her own hype - yes, there is an upswell in opinion for Independance, but this happened last time too and then dropped off. In 2014, Oil was a massive earner, but the industry has crashed and Scotland can no longer be reliant upon that income, and there's no way that the Whiskey industry, farming and fishing will sustain a National economy. The problem Boris will have (or whoever is in government at the time) is a refusal to grant a referendum will probably gain the SNP more support. Boris also ****ed up by pissing off Ruth Davison, who had the measure of Sturgeon and the support of a lot of non-Tory voters - she's left a huge void for Scottish Tories to fill, I don't even know who her deputy is/was - they will be wiped out up here again at the next GE.

Alex Salmond is going on criminal trial early next year for multiple rape and sexual assaults. If he goes down, that could be a huge spoke in Indyref2's wheels

Salmonds impending court case will definately cause problems for the IndyRef2 people - Sturgeon has been trying to distance herself from it, but she was found out earlier in the year in being complicit to failures in the internal investigation at Holyrood, so a guilty conviction will do her damage too.

This is Carme Forcadell. She was the Speaker of the Catalan Parliament. Today she was sentenced by Spain to ELEVEN years in prison for allowing a debate on independence. If we do nothing, she will be 75 years old when she’s released.

Europhiles claimed adding 4 days on to a parliamentary recess was a sign of a dictatorship, what do they think of a European government jailing a parliamentary speaker for holding a debate? #StandUpForCatalonia

Police Scotland will be ‘unable to pay cop wages within months’ unless ministers stump up cash

BROKE Police Scotland will be unable to pay cops' wages within months unless ministers stump up more cash, the SNP conference has heard.
Justice Secretary Humza Yousaf faced the damning claim from furious Scottish Police Federation boss Calum Steele.
In an explosive intervention at the gathering in Aberdeen, Mr Steele also told a fringe event that detectives were swamped due to cash cuts and rising numbers of sex attack cases.
He said: "The police service is going to run out of money and not be able to pay wages in February. "That is the reality of what's facing the police service."
But Mr Yousaf branded the wages claim "outrageous" and "simply untrue" amid heated exchanges at the Scottish Police Federation fringe event, where Mr Yousaf and Mr Steele were being interviewed about police finances.
And Mr Yousaf offered to resign if cops didn't get paid in February.
Humza Yousaf backs calls to limit Glasgow marches after chaos
Giving an example of the burden on cops, Mr Steele told the audience: "There are 100 rapes and sexual assaults at any one time for senior investigating officers."
Police Scotland has faced huge cuts since its creation from the merger of regional forces in 2013.

Calum Steele said cops were swamped due to cuts
It had planned to slash officer numbers but u-turned due to potential pressures from Brexit.
And the latest finance briefing to the Scottish police Authority highlights a "potential deficit of up to £41.6million" for the financial year ending March 31.
At the same time, officers are dealing with rising amounts of violent crime and sex offences.
Last year, sexual crimes recorded by police rose eight per cent to 13,547.
Non-sexual violent crime was also up 10 per cent in 2018-19 - bucking the long-term decline.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "As in previous years where policing has operated with a forecasted deficit, we will work with the Scottish Government to meet required expenditure.
"Through financial discipline and modernisation, significant progress has been made in reducing policing's underlying operating deficit from a high of £63m in 2016-17 to an anticipated overspend of £24.6m, excluding additional costs associated with Brexit, in the current year.
"We have raised the need for additional resources to build a sustainable, modern and flexible service and are working closely with the Scottish Government and the Scottish Police Authority as part of the spending review process."

Sadiq Khan’s verdict was clear on plans to make voters show ID before casting their ballots: ‘This is voter suppression’, he said. ‘It will hit poorer and minority communities, just as it does in the US’.
But Mr S couldn’t help but notice one of the requirements for people to attend the Mayor of London’s own ‘State of London Debate’ at the O2 earlier this year: ‘Please bring photo ID and arrive early to ensure entry’.

The sentences are mad but isn't this clear evidence of a country in the EU ruling itself, I thought the EU ruled and dictated to all it's members.

Indeed. It’s simultaneously an all-powerful Big Brother overriding national governments and powerless and on the point of crumbling. Doesn’t add up somehow.
