The EU is, in theory,
A pretty decent thing,
But this wasp has developed
A nasty little sting,
It loans out lots of money,
To countries that are broke,
Then rolls around in laughter
While watching its victim choke.
The leaders of this menace
Are appointed by their mates,
They drink and fart and sleep all day,
And rebrand opinion as hate.
They'll let you in, quite happily,
As long as you pay the fee,
But once you're in, you cannot leave,
The union of E.

Pretty sure we have done the same for the last 300 years

To support Prince Harry’s commitment to the environment, we ensured their flight was carbon neutral, by making the appropriate contribution to Carbon Footprint™.

Translation: ‘Harry and Meghan are not climate change hypocrites for using lots of private jets. We are all considerably richer than you, which means we can buy off the environment, unlike you lot who should all just fly a lot less.

The tweet from Wells says it all for me. Harry and Meghan are all about "do as we say, not do as we do". The fact that they break their own rules and then use their wealth, or their fabulously rich friends' wealth, in an act of atonement still stinks. I could see them becoming increasingly unpopular.

And speaking of unpopular, take a bow the Nonse Duke of York, Prince Andrew who clearly has an interest in underage girls and their abusers. Are we supposed to look up to ****s like that? Those in the Royal Family who behave and do good work must be spitting at the damage to reputation.

What stinks is the fact that anyone who speaks out about climate change is automatically attacked, invariably by those of a right-wing persuasion.

So you're a supporter of Harry and Meghan's duplicitous, hypocritial approach to environmental lecturing

Dripping with hate for Meghan's lefty attitudes - are you paying attention, Uber?

If they're able to offset the effects of their trip by contributing to climate change charities or whatever, fair enough as far as I'm concerned. I'm flying to Spain today for a week's holiday but there's little I'm able to do in terms of offsetting. I do actually contribute to a tree-planting charity, though.

I always pay attention, Stroller. I’m smarter than the average bear.

I suggest you carbon offset whilst in Spain by vowing to hold onto your farts until you get home.

So the rich can travel where they like and write a cheque for the damage they do. But those that can't afford it, have to stay at home. That's the typical liberal, Islington elitist attitude that people are turning against.

The rich can travel where they like so long as they pay a 'tax' in doing it by way of offsetting. Not enough of them do. I don't see why Meghan should be singled out because she does.

I'm from Harlesden, not Islington, by the way, and I'm not elitist in the least.

I reached the conclusion sometime ago that one of the fundamental differences between somebody on the ‘right’ and somebody of the ‘left’ is that, whilst it is human nature to exhibit some hypocritical traits, the former recognise this in themselves more that the latter.

The Harry & Meghan ****e is no different to Labour’s systematic dismantling of Grammar Schools - aides and abetted, it should be said, by ignorant ‘conservatives’ - whilst ensuring that they get their own kids into the best available schools. Blair and the London Oratory being a decent example.

Harry and Meghan (I don't know why you keep singling Meghan out, unless you're setting yourself up for a racist claim) lecture us all on carbon footprint, environmental matters etc. If it was that important to them, then they could have one long summer holiday (to cut down the travel) and make it Devon, Cornwall etc. I'd have respect for them if they practiced what they preached.

You don't have to live in Islington to have the Islington, elitist attitude. Your attitude reminds me of support for a feudal lord who rapes the local blacksmith's girl and then throws the family a bag of coins for the privilege. Totally outdated
