Why is it that so many Brexiters have such thin skins?

It’s was a genuine suggestion which has been met by tides of negativity from the very people who are telling me to trust Boris and his call for positivity. I’m giving that a go, it’s only fair.

There is absolutely no doubt that the EU will want a trade deal, probably along the same lines as the many they have already with Canada and Japan for example, if the UK does not want to be in the Customs Union or Single Market. The trick would be to tie the Withdrawal Agreement into it. The downside for Boris would be he couldn’t do Brexit on 31 October, but there would be plenty of motivation on all sides to get it done fast.

Oh blah de blah de whatever mate.
Sick of it.

I am, but some of the **** on here does my ****ing head in.

I'll leave you all to your doom and gloom and obvious, almost cult like affection for the EU.
Far from a cult like affection. That is an extreme statement. I see more positives being in the EU than negatives especially for my family and extended family. I see, as you call it 'project fear' from not only our own government but even the ERG said we wont see any benefits for up to half a century and they are the most ardent supporters of a no deal. Nearly all independent analysis foresees an economic downturn. In return al I hear is 'believe in the UK' , be optimistic etc etc. Its a load of ****e for time warped old ****s who live in the past and want a return to Britannia ruling the waves! We cant even address our own homegrown problems

Bang on Bob.

It's not a backstop if it has a time limit. Everyone knows that. Nobody has come up with a solution to this most important issue. But if we just keep believing and have optimism then it might just vanish into thin air!

Not sure some on here even understand the Irish backstop ... east to say it will be taken out but the EU will not do that?

I like Boris a lot but this is all theatre
He hasn’t said one thing new yet that wasn’t already in play anyway nothing new

If he forgets the farmers then he will get shot

Still maintain that Brexiteers must pay for all of this
They must be made to pay

Even by the standards on here from some that share your views, that really is total bollocks.

Nothing new?

New police officers.
Investment in the North.
Boost to the NHS.
Really diverse cabinet and liberal attitude to immigration (from this right wing racist!).
Clear message to the EU about what is required from them.
United cabinet on Brexit.

Could all be lies of course.

Time will tell.

Good start.

Time will tell mate and there are a lot of positive vibes coming from these announcements which is refreshing in today's politics. It does read more like an election manifesto than anything else. I do hope he does what he says and not just what he knows people want to hear. As for a clear message to the EU about what is required from them, he should concentrate on the requirements from our own parliment and not them.

It is indeed an election manifesto, but he's not telling anyone how he's going to pay for it all. It's only Labour that is expected to do that, though. There will be an election before 31st October, because he knows he can't deliver Brexit by then.

Yeah.....let's go back to being pessimistic.
Yeah fair comment - I don't want 100% misery or 100% everything's going to be amazing and wonderful. I felt the same with Tony Blair. I just like everything to be a bit more balanced - but get why it never will be!

No just plain common sense imo
It works it’s that simple
I would rather question what exactly a Brexiteer plans to do after we have left and where are the advantages for our county

Like Boris but there is no real substance

Loving the fact that a lot of Brexiteers are beginning to realise that the U.K. is actually a dead duck . A protest vote nothing more and a wake up call from the time warp

Would the U.K. be better off outside the EU?
Time a few asked themselves that again imo
The answer has always been No and the answer will always be No so why did they vote in the first place ? They were and still are the source of the real unhappy imo and they are the ones responsible for this deeper end of the **** I have always said we are in

The tax cuts will generate the cash to pay for it all. Simple.

Everyone who voted leave is a "time warped old ****"?
Do you even believe all this **** you write or what?

No but everyone who wants to leave without a deal is. They still think they're in the ****ing trenches but this time fighting with soundbites and no ****ing plan. JRM of the ERG did say that. Should I not believe it? Or 99% of independent forecasts. Or even our new PM who says it will be a rough ride?? Or shall I just believe in erm...erm.........hmmm.....erm
