So what we need is either an ambassador who will lie for the sake of it or somebody not to leak things.
The latter mate. Plus a more secure way for diplomats to send their advice to our politicians.

very exciting
Course it is. Along with ****ing democracy. Who gives a serious **** either way
So saying that, it wasnt really the ambassadors fault then. He said it as he saw it and some **** grassed him up.The latter mate. Plus a more secure way for diplomats to send their advice to our politicians.
I honestly think it went out of the window many moons ago.Are you saying that democracy doesn't exisit Bob?

Never lived there mate so I cant make a comparison. I would like to believe that democracy should be based on truths otherwise it's just a con and corrupt. So you see no difference between living here and say North Korea or China?
So he should lie then? I dont get it. What's the point in having this position?Yes, but his position was still untenable.

I get ya. Who ever grassed him up should go aswell. Feel a tad sorry for the bloke then really. No, he should tell it as he sees it to his bosses.
He should ensure that this advice can't be leaked. He failed.
I'm not arsed about North Korea. I dont see too many honest democratic examples to quote on hence me saying what I said. But you've heard what it's like in North Korea surely?
You can't see a difference between here and there?
No it’s not surrendered. It’s shared, by a conscious positive decision.Whatever.
I disagreed with your assertion that sovereignty is surrendered as soon as a trade deal is entered into. Pure semantics....again.
Sovereignty is as much a personal perception as it is a tangible thing imo. As I've said before, if one doesn't feel sovereignty then one doesn't get it.
Report fly-postingThat’ll show ‘em !!
You do come out with some long winded bollocks at times mate.
No it’s not surrendered. It’s shared, by a conscious positive decision.
I get sovereignty very well, it’s not a perception it’s a legal status, I just don’t think increasing our current level of national sovereignty makes much difference to my life. I also get patriotism, I just don’t feel it in the same way as you. Diversity, yeah!
Really? His position was immediately untenable the moment his comments were leaked. I’m sure Ambassadors make comments such as Our Kim’s every day right across the globe but, the moment they’re leaked, how can they possibly remain in the role?
The only way Johnson could be blamed for Darroch’s departure is if he was somehow implicated in the leak.
