Never lived there mate so I cant make a comparison. I would like to believe that democracy should be based on truths otherwise it's just a con and corrupt.

But you've heard what it's like in North Korea surely?
You can't see a difference between here and there?

Whatever.

I disagreed with your assertion that sovereignty is surrendered as soon as a trade deal is entered into. Pure semantics....again.

Sovereignty is as much a personal perception as it is a tangible thing imo. As I've said before, if one doesn't feel sovereignty then one doesn't get it.
No it’s not surrendered. It’s shared, by a conscious positive decision.

I get sovereignty very well, it’s not a perception it’s a legal status, I just don’t think increasing our current level of national sovereignty makes much difference to my life. I also get patriotism, I just don’t feel it in the same way as you. Diversity, yeah!

You do come out with some long winded bollocks at times mate.

Is that it?
The answers seems to be just use the word crap

Try and read SB’s post with a open mind the answers are inside your own head if only you could be rational about Brexit it would be a start

Any ideas what to do post Brexit yet? Who are you following? Are you happy ?

There is a light if only you are brave enough to invite it in.

Sovereignty... would be interesting to see a few on here even try and understand it then be brave enough to post what they actually think it is

Strip away the rational as you did brilliantly what is left? We really are a grumpy grubby little island all of us self obsessed without a clue exactly how sick we really are

My observations I assess regularly as I switch cultures regularly and yes driven me nuts at times but I believe not many would be able to define sovereignty today in 2019

Again it was a brilliant post SB and deserves praise imo

Really? His position was immediately untenable the moment his comments were leaked. I’m sure Ambassadors make comments such as Our Kim’s every day right across the globe but, the moment they’re leaked, how can they possibly remain in the role?

The only way Johnson could be blamed for Darroch’s departure is if he was somehow implicated in the leak.

He was just doing his job by reporting back how he found the Trump administration. The fault lies with the leaker, not the ambassador. Both May and Hunt backed him but Johnson wouldn't, after Trump, who thinks he can choose our ambassador and wants Farage, reacted like the child that he is. Darroch could have retired gracefully, as he was scheduled to soon, if Johnson hadn't thrown him under the bus.

Trump would have forgotten it quickly enough anyway, he soon got over Kim Jong-Un calling him a dotard.
