Don’t be silly Ellers, Corbyn has been against what the EU has become for many, many years and never tried to hide it.
He’s a true man of ‘the Left’.
To be fair Staines a lot of this information was not out in the open then. Are you telling me you had seen that video that was released yesterday, before?

I haven’t been following the thread properly for a bit mate, so don’t know what video you mean.
However, I still say that Corbyn has always been and probably always will be Anti EU.

Okay mate. The video I believed was released yesterday with Corbyn knocking the EU. Agree he is anti-EU but I didn't think it was as much as the video shows.

Anybody who knows what Corbyn represents and believes in doesn’t need to see the video Ellers. Corbyn was a disciple of Tony Benn who was fanatically and very publicly anti EU, and an organisation like the EU is anathema to the true hard left, as Stainsey, our resident anarcho-syndicalist, has pointed out. His anti EU voting record since entering Parliament is spotless.

But while it isn’t news to Stainsey and myself it might be to a lot more people, including many ‘new’ pro European entrants to the Labour Party and many others who will vote Labour. If they can’t be arsed to find out what the people they vote for actually believe, when it is there all over the Internet, that’s their lookout.

It’s quite fun when you see characters like Benn and Enoch Powell and Corbyn and Rees Mogg on the same side, like the end of Animal Farm when the pigs are indistinguishable from the humans.

Farage was just on Sky saying the EU are 2222ing themselves. He is/was there and said many are worried about a no deal as the Eurozone is heading into a recession. He actually said that last week was the first time he noticed the fear in may MEP's. I think Tusk is generally gutted about the whole Brexit thing and realisation has finally come home. I said months ago that if we left with no deal it would bring down the EU. Now the commentators are hinting at it. They just needed to adapt and things would be sorted.

Well fat chance we have to be involved with any adaptations! Who the **** cares anymore ?

Do you think this won’t damage our people first ?
The EU has a lot more money than we do
We are going solo on the 29th

A simple google search of his EU voting record says it all. He’s been anti EU for a very long time and not kept it a secret.
Voting against EU is different to referring to them as 'Frankenstein' and 'vote again until you get it right'.

Unless I'm mistaken, the affair wasn't discovered and reported on until the early 2000s, no?

Edit - hence it not being an issue in his political career...

In that case, Major's record is even worse. Major went down to the worst ever electoral Conservative defeat. Are you saying that, had the public known about his affair, it would have improved his electoral position?

It’s common knowledge
I seriously doubt your nut Ellers
He is anti Israel by the way but that he doesn’t support the current lot and why in hell should the rest of the world ?

I don't think he will be anymore or any less conflicted than you are with the woman who wont deliver the Brexit you voted for as shes a remainer, or did you vote for a deal based on an amendment to the Irish backstop??

I'm not conflicted about May. I'd like her out. She's totally messed up the EU negotiations. Sadly, she's the only game in town at the moment.

Hilarious - you accuse me of having a selective memory in one post, and then claim that the electorate and media punished Major for his affair. Then you get the very basic facts wrong!

Really embarrassing. Bet you spent a while googling to try and find some earlier press coverage of the affair too.

So I was right - the 97 defeat had nothing to do with his affair with Currie. Are you man enough to admit you were completely wrong about that? As I said, if was an irrelevance until 2002 and of course would have hurt him more at the time if discovered, in fact I think he'd have had to resign.

As for why he lost in 97, as I said, if was multifactorial and I'm happy to debate that with you when you admit you were wrong about his personal sleaze and wrong about Northern Ireland.

Yeah it’s a ****ing disgrace. I can’t imagine a British Government offering a Japanese car company £80m on terms which were kept secret.

God Save the Queen.
However Sb we are not talking about us, we are talking about the EU. Are you saying because someone does something wrong it's okay for others to do the same?

Good old Nigel Farage has just said I will shake Tusks hand next week and thank him for the work he has done today to help Brexit.
