Of course it’s childish but it’s an original form of protest. It could have been laughed off as that. Instead we’ve got some bod collecting money for a Sadiq Khan balloon.
There are muggings and violent crime all over London now, worse than New York. - and Khan just shrugs his shoulders. The latest is an ex- British ambassador beaten to a pulp apparently by youths at Victoria Station in a violent mugging. As someone who was born in London, it's something I find sad and alarming.
If that is 'original' I would hate to see something unoriginal.?
They were trying to interview some of the protesters today. They went up to three people and none of the wanted to talk. I reckon half of them don't even know why they are there.
I would just ask them why they didn't do the same to Obama or The Saudi prince visits? They all seem to go quiet on that one.
I have just seen the shocking pictures of the guy. I also heard a commentator talk about the failings of Khan.... bloody hell he is a crap Mayor. Just goes to show how London needs to wake up and get rid of the muppet.

A protest nobody notices isn't effective. And whilst the balloon might be seen as 'childish' - it gets noticed. As will the many, many thousands protesting his visit, and the many, many millions that will vote the Republicans out of control in the November 6 mid-terms, when all 435 seats are up for election.
Trump's behaviour is NOT normal. what's happening in the US is NOT normal. We shouldn't normalise it by silence or shrugging our shoulders.

Have always stated that I think Trump is a 'dick' but I also think these Trump haters are hypocrites. Piers Morgan said on Question Time last night something that I have been saying for months in that he is no worse than Obama/Clinton/Bush yet he gets vilified. Agree he says stupid things but what he says and does are completely different. He says a lot of the crap to get a response.
You better get used to it because in America his ratings are high, a million more jobs and he will be getting another term.
Funnily there were high cuts under Boris but crime was lower so how do you answer that?
As much as I wouldn't support the balloon, and more importantly Khan's incitement to protest, we should be careful not to block free speech and the right to protest.

Bull. His ratings are tanking, his control is going after Nov 6, and he’s gonna get impeached and indicted. He won’t finish this term.
There may be more jobs (certainly not 'a million') but when people need to work three jobs to get a living wage in, that is meaningless. There's obscene wealth inequality in the US, and Trump is making it worse. His so-called 'tax plan' stole $1.5 trillion dollars and gave it to his cronies and family.
On top of that, he's an abhorrent human being.

Sadly it shows the eejits have won. I think it's all a bit rubbish because as others have said we know Trumps a knob but we've had heads of far worse regimes visit with hardly a murmur.
