I see that Question Time has finally done away with any pretence of impartiality with the most left wing panel I think I've ever seen.
The audience is usually loaded to the left but this has confirmed their left wing bias beyond all doubt.
4 of the 6 are very left wing; Abbot, Farron, some bloke from Unite and the leader of the Greens.
The Tory bird was no doubt chosen for this programme as she's terribly weak.
Oh and there's some bird from the apprentice.
Joke!

Don't they have UKIP on there almost all the time? Probably a good thing as it shows them up but still, not something you'd expect if there's a bias to the left.

US launched 60 cruise missile at the Syrian airfield where the planes the took part in the gas attack that killed more than 64 people were launched from All 60 cruise missiles hit the airfield within 60 seconds of each other.

Good for Trump.

Now there's a phrase I never thought I'd utter.

Even when it's supposedly balanced I can't watch it. The hysterical shrieking from panel and audience does my head in.

I don't. If UKIP are on such a disproportionate amount of the time, it suggests no left wing bias.

They're not.
The BBC usually at least make the politics of those on the panel even themselves out.
Last night they didn't.

Oh and............well done Trump!

I wouldn't call a Liberal Democrat or a Green "Left". Doubt they would either.

Just dawning on me how huge the US air strike is, not just for Syria, but for the US and international relations. Looks like Jared Kushner, Trumps son in law, and by all accounts more of a liberal democrat than an alt right populist, is winning the battle for influence in the White House over the horrible isolationist pro Putin Steve Bannon, recently kicked off the National Security Council. Blood is thicker than water. Putin will now realise that he can't rely on the Trump team to either stay silent on or back up his imperialist adventures. And even the nasty dictator Xi Jinping may have pause for thought. Three massive egos who don't give a **** about anybody else. Could get a bit nervy. But today at least Trump is the good guy.

In other news Corbyn tax private school fees to pay for primary school dinners (lunches, surely?) idea based on a misreading of Institute of Fiscal Studies research is rubbished, politely, by the Institute of Fiscal Studies. Corbyn clearly doesn't understand that most people would send their kids to state schools if they thought their local options were good enough, they don't do it for ideological reasons. Many also could not afford a 20% hike in fees, meaning that extra kids would be in the state system. I do think the private school sector should be taxed somehow, but preferably not for the next 4 terms while I'm paying fees.

Apparently both Singapore and Hong Kong impose a 15% tax on foreigners buying property in their countries. What a good idea. Let's do it, and make it retrospective. Apparently Qatar owns more property in London than the Crown Estate, and all bought over the last few years. As a committed (or rather resigned, it's happening whatever, get used to it) globalist I shouldn't mind, but this doesn't feel right. At least we should get some public service funding out of it.

Both are very left wing these days.
Agree, at the time of the last election (pre Corbyn) the Greens were by far the most left wing 'mainstream' choice. Lib Dems more of a mixed bag, but certainly left of centre.

Interesting response from some European politicians to the US air strike. Amongst those voicing doubts about its wisdom are Nigel Farage, Paul Nuttalls, Marine le Pen, and Mattel Salvini of Italy's Lega Nord. Good to see our continent's alt right sticking together, as soon as their new hero does something which winds up their paymaster they get behind the money. Odd one out politically in criticising is Jeremy Corbyn, though he was never averse to appearing on Russia Today to protest about something, and is continually calling for a reduction in NATO forces in Eastern Europe. Now who else would like that?

Sinister. Or am I becoming a conspiracy theorist? I need to get out more......
